RC hot air AIRSHIP (it finally flew)

I started out developing a new style of radio control model hot air balloon, with some novel features built in and then asked the question `if it turn this on its side can I make it operate like a Blimp'
I built in some internal rigging to carry the weight of a basket, burner and RC fuel system - and with some advanced planning on the balloons design, created a shape which would distribute the load well, added a nose cone and some basic tail fins and began to experiment.
This year we made a massive step forward, with the project moving to a team effort, with different people joining in and bringing their experience, including my friend Bob, with some good woodworking knowledge to construct internal working, Adam running the burner so I could get a good look and of course ‪@louishartley6926‬ who 3d printed and built the RC drone Motor systems for propulsion.

Really love this!! Literally the last couple months I’ve been thinking about how one would go about building an RC airship! I want to start working on it right after I finish my next special shape RC! (Haven’t started that one yet…)

fantastic, well if your into making special shapes already, you won't have too much trouble with the envelope, and what I wanted to do is create a system that means (in theory) any model balloon can be adapted, and with a little adaptation the basket can still be used, meaning the need to specifically design a gondola is removed. What shapes have you / are you making?
