I have a degree in biology and belive me when I say this man looks like a meat head, but he is very intelligent. Whenever he talks about the biology of trees and soil conditions he is absolutely spot on. I'm sure a lot of watchers have his knowledge fly over their heads, but as a scientist he is a joy for me to watch. Someone who is doing real work benefiting humanity using real science. Cheers dirt man!
Its hilarious because i been on a retaining wall job for the last 4 months that keeps getting delayed with the storms and other bs, and Every-time the client calls for a update i get a notification of a new upload of this guys wall nightmare lol. Im glad i ain’t the only one!
@@officialjohnseaman I'm a super running a ~$2m commercial project, it's ground-up retail. We have had 7 weeks of delays in the first 3 months of the job and it's only supposed to run 180 days. A few of those were waiting on the power utility to relocate lines, a few waiting on revised civils from the AOR, and about a week of weather delays scattered around. Just sent the customer a CO for extended general conditions. It's incredibly depressing lol, I feel your pain.
Your so motivated, can you share more about your night (after work) routine. As a small business owner, i like seeing how people structure there days to be so successful. Hope this make sense
That's great advice to the other O/O of that business. Everyone's replaceable no matter how good you are at that job. Safety has to be front and center before anything else can be completed 👌
he hires losers to pay as little labor as possible so it cost him $45k to build aa wall system. oh well and his foul, white trash mouth that he is advertising here on youtube for all his customers to see will eventually cost a lot more
dude you might have changed my life. my girlfriend is almost done getting her phd literally in soil science. now im figuring out how i can get her to get state/nationally certified to do the work. then we can put our name out there and bid on some jobs.
He’s doing a lot of storm work rite now. Trucks can be hired out where the equipment is somthing he needs to keep moving. I’d be suprised if he isn’t looking at a deal on another truck or two. He’s a smart dude .
@ iv been watching long before the storm work videos. Was just curious since he had had that rinky Dink tandem fall apart. Just like him moving dirt with that single axle that could have been twice as fast with a tandem.
A lot of guys that call themselves operators are that dumb 😆🤣😂 everywhere I go they love me in the machines and I make a damn good living running them , I'm not a know it all and I take care of the equipment like it's my own ....I could never understand why the bosses loved me so much until I got on some jobs where I saw what I was up against 😂😂😂😂 there are plenty of guys out there that say they are an operator then fill the hydraulic tank with diesel , or put Def in the diesel tank, or never check the fluids until something catastrophic goes ...the list goes on and on
We found out the hard way the most important part of any job is how it starts and how it finishes. Once we get a notice of award we have our estimators plan and run a job kick off meeting with everyone who will be involved .The scope of work is gone over , contract terms are discussed, labor hours for the job are evaluated , schedules , any overtime needed, safety requirements , first aid and nearest emergency treatment. Not sure how your insurance works but we have our own safety team . Our insurance mod is .70 and anything over 1.00 your not working the elite jobs in Southern California . It’s a big deal and it’s getting more challenging each year. You need to invest in your key people especially training and osha certifications . Our company is huge now but we used to do 2million a year now it’s over 20million. Look at Murray Company mechanical contractors in rancho Dominguez.
