Hit and trial method..you let lamba = 0,1,2,-1,2etc and divide the whole equation.. that's a tough and lengthy way of doing ig..but final ans matters so you show a little calculation with pen then use calci as well to get the right roots..so even if you get wrong at steps of hit nd trial..you getting the right ans so examiner probably won't deduct marks for not attempting all steps
