A great flying model. I managed to fly mine but without the electronics in yet, before the snow came and it loves thermals. On a good day in the summer it should be able to stay up all day having to use the battery only to get it to the height you want to start at. A truly sweet little model. Happy Flying
Thanks Ken! I am a novice when it comes to planes and need all the practice I can get! This is a great model. Everything about it was just so easy to understand and the gps rth was a new twist for me too. It also has stabilized mode so I should be fine :) lol 👍🍺😍
@@RCEscape lol I messed up already. Needed new radio..went with xlite like one I had for 3 years. Not enough switches. After diving into open tx. I'm finding need for more.. play music.. prearm.. to mention a few. Question Pete? I added GPS now my radio has its data on sd card. Called tracking. I use in case lose Bird. Can read last GPS cord's. I set for every second. Then Punch in google maps fallow directions. And most importantly..if ever accused of wrong doing. I have a tracking log of said flight. Can prove my case. Fly right no worries. But point is.. isn't that good enough for FAA? Oh I'll wreck it shooting a gap! Lol
@@sleepingbearffg5008 I hardly ever even see any police patrol car up here I don’t know if there’s FAA agents lurking around. But there are people and some people don’t like drones and they’re the ones that will stir up trouble for us flying and minding our own business.

I have the kopilot on my Esky eagle and this process was easier than some of the vids I watched for setup. I'm gonna use an Sbus receiver other than the one I have and try this again. I tried the jumper d16 receiver and had the process confused somehow and lost patience so will visit this again. Thinking about buying the jumper Lite transmitter and crossfire nano although the tx16s is still looking good. Have the jumper t8sg v2 and it's a you know what sometimes... lol ☮️
Yes, for sure get one of the bigger tx. It will more to offer as far as the interface and the ease of use after all it is their flagship item. I do however will recommend the tx16s and if you can the newer one since it will have better everything. Yeah, I can't wait till the maiden myself :) 👍😍
I have DJI Drift set according to your description. I made a few flights at critical moments when I lost sight of it, it returned to the RTH signal or signal brk. Last time at an altitude of 70m it disappeared, I turned on the procedure, the model did not return. It was the second flight after the first 20 minutes, the 3500mah battery. look for it through ERRor 99% signal without success. What procedure did not work. I've been a modeller for 50 years
can you do a video on how to connect the kopilot lite to the dart 250g or other delta wing, im having issues and it would be nice to see someone do it on video with the radiomaster tx16s, and how do you use launch assist mode?

Well done! I note that the 3s prop doesn't really fit on the motor shaft. Slightly too small. Guess I'm doing 2s!

Just assembled mine and cannot get the bay door to where the kopilot is closed
Why is it the motor does not start up in stabilized mode, or when you go from manual to stabilized mode the motor cuts out and stops? Cheers

I can only assume there were not an adequate gps signal.

How is it that you can use the throttle??...the manual says that after u get a gps signal that the throttle will then be activated.
That's only in the rth mode.
what battery you using?? The recommended battery looks heavy in my opinion
