For some reason this video brings back memories of mine with my Grandpa. I learned how to disk on his 770, I have an old, old video on my channel with him, plowing and disking. He would enjoy this video. I don't know really how I missed this upload 9months ago, but it showed up in my suggested tonight.
@@rosstheoliverman I have a 242 or 252 disk myself, 14ft wide. Needs new bearings. I'm kind of dreading the project. Seeing yours adds a little spark to my fire of getting it done. Thinking about it, I was looking up parts online for the disk... that is probably why RUclips recommended this video!
Today is the 25th in 2022 Merry Christmas to you keep doing good work I have been watching your shows I wanted to come on here this morning I was watching your show about where your tractors tore up and before you had to get the other tractor hook up to the old desk you keep doing good work and get all your tractors fixed what we can watch you'd work and I'm going to tell you again Merry Christmas to you from Mississippi
Looks like to me that outfit did a fine job. I'd plant in that ground all day every day. Wish some of mine would have worked up that well. Looking forward to some planting. Got mine finished yesterday. Pulled the tractor and drill into the barn and started to rain. God's Great Timing. 🙏👍🇺🇲
Looks pretty good. I did alot of disking with a disk like that behind an 880 diesel. I would probably hit one of the steel posts trying to get all the weeds.
I didn’t have it all the way down because I just wanted to use it to help bust up the clods. I think this is a good match to this tractor. It surprised me how well it handled it.
@@rosstheoliverman what’s the width of that disk? Mine will pull my 12ft Hardee disk with 24 inch blades with the wheels curled in 4th over and don’t even know it’s back there
@@rosstheoliverman is the oliver 252 and ford 252 the same disk? I know there was a couple 16 fts around here and they seemed to be pretty tough to pull. The Hardee disks it’s 4th over the whole time with the 210 I run 3rd direct sometimes over.
That old equipment is priceless when you need back up
It sure bailed me out that day!!!
That old oliver disc is doing a great job buddy
Thanks!
Oliver & IH had the best disks

Thanks Bill! Sometimes the RUclips recommendation thing is weird, but at least you got to see it!

Thanks!!! I hope you had a merry Christmas as well! I’m glad you’ve been enjoying the videos!!
The 1755 handles that disc fine sounds great 👍
I think it did an excellent job!
I have the same 252 disk, it’s going to get new disks and bearings in the near future. They do a nice job fitting ground.
They work great! The weight makes them cut great!
Of the higher horsepower Oliver tractors I think the 1755 was the best
You need a song played on your piano for the intro song
I thought of that, I’ll probably just keep using the royalty free RUclips music
Impressed!!! That’s a very nice 1755! It pulls that disc very easily! Thanks for another good video Ross.
Thanks John! I was impressed at how well it handled it as well. I need to dyno it whenever I get the PTO fixed and see what it’s putting out.

It does do a good job. You’ll get yours done, it always works out!
Yup ,a step back in time ! When the new guys refused to work have to get out the ole guys , and you got a lot of them .
I just hope I don’t have to break out the horse tools 🤣
10/10 brand of disk and tractor there
Thanks!

I’ve learned not to get too close. You can always clean the fence with spray 🤣
I have one of those blue hose holders as well.
They work great, and they’re disposable 🤣
awesome.
Thanks Dan!
the old disc seems to be doing a great job I hope I didn't jinx it for your sake
Looks like it could pull bigger. I pulled a 210 John Deere with mine and that was all it wanted in our ground

@@xade7863 yes I believe Oliver sold some to Ford.
👍👍
Thanks Tom!!
Run a Culrpacker over it and plant
@@daniellynn7917 I wish I had one. That would have been exactly what I needed.
Ross has the worst luck
If it was raining my bucket would have a hole in it
