Hi! We are Phil and Alex! After leaving California in an RV, traveling full time, and helping our littlest with an open heart surgery, we've settled down in Tennessee. We found our homestead land and are learning each day how to live a more sustainable life. We are a family grown through the miracle of Adoption & Infertility Treatments. Our precious daughters are Kinsley Grace (7 years old), Callie Jo (6 years old), and Cassidy Drew (2). I feel like it was just yesterday that Callie was born, and now she's so big!
I live in Venice, FL. My parents and I, as well as my sister have power back, and are all cleaned up. Unfortunately, my brother's house is still without power & water. They have roof, fence, shed, and pool cage damage. Still, we feel extremely blessed because we are all alive. Praying for Karen and her family!
Callie so mature and all the girls behave so mature. Look at the baby speaking as plain as ever.
Pigs can pick a portable fence up with their snouts. It is not a good solution if you are not there to watch them. They need to be in a solid, secured fence at night. They are fun, but very strong.
My Uncle's pigs were kept in concrete sheds, or in the fold yard with the bullocks. Bringing the poor thing home in the dark, with a bright light in the run, and the girls being very loud was not a good idea.

Been here since 2016. Found you in college and your the only vlog family I watch. I love your faith and mindset. I have never suffered infertility but our first child passed to glory as an infant unexpectedly. So that has been our family struggle. I have friends/family who have suffered infertility.
🐷 Mackenzie, I'm right a long with you, this is also the only family I watch..I love this family so much too.. I love how they are so open and raw sometimes about what going on there lives. I also love how they lean on their face in good times and bad ones. I like how Alex, could be so open about infertility. A friend at my church turned me on to this family when I was going through a lot with infertility, and I was thinking that I was alone. I'm so very sorry for the loss of your baby. My heart go's out to you and your family..💛 But you have a little Angel looking over you, my grandmother used to tell me when you see blue butterflies that's your little angel waving at you..

I’m happy for you that Fred has finally arrived. Poor boy was probably scared with all the estrogen around him 😂 I’m sure you’ll get the pen situation worked out. Is he doing better now?

I been watching since Callie was a baby so about 3 years you helped with my journey.
Both of my children have roses swine for 10+ years each. They have amazing temperament and personalities! They love to cuddle and love pets/belly rubs. Pigs are incredible

We had to dig a 3 foot trench and bury our wire fencing so they couldn't root out. Then took pallets and used as the outer fence.

How sweet. I would wait with breeding till a little older. And it's a boar so always be careful. We had many pigs, but boars have a attitude

Just an idea but have you thought about tracking collars for the pigs incase they escape again that way it will be easier to find them

Buttercup did have her calf, that video will probably be posted in a few days. If you look at their instagrams there’s pictures of the calf and buttercup!
My French bulldog’s name is Rickie and I’m constantly saying he’s my lil pork chop because Frenchie are like pigs lol

Hope Fred is a boy! Callie, it's really cool that you want to change Ricky's name to a more girl name, so I was thinking what about something like, Mrs. Magillicudddy? She was Lucy's mom. Then you could choose a cute nickname for her. LOVE and PRAYERS ALWAYS from Gainesville Florida.❤🙏😊🙏❤🐷

They don’t need to explain over and over. Sorry you missed it.
They got the pigs to clear brush with the added bonus of piglets (I believe). They seem to not be as good of brush cleaners as the family was hoping, but they are not meat animals. Generally speaking, phil and Alex choose not to show their meat animals on RUclips because it can be a touchy subject.
Kune kune pigs are a heritage breed so they are good for meat but also foraging

You are a prime example of don't do what we did, bring animals home without appropriate shelter and means to give them ample safe habitat. Geezer lou, someone step in and MENTOR these poor folks. Hunting season is open and it's scary to be in the dark predawn hours with camo on Phil. Alex, girl don't get mad if Phil comes on home with some animal to surprise you one day. Dog perhaps Phil? Hush shhh
