Hi! We are Phil and Alex! After leaving California in an RV, traveling full time, and helping our littlest with an open heart surgery, we've settled down in Tennessee. We found our homestead land and are learning each day how to live a more sustainable life. We are a family grown through the miracle of Adoption & Infertility Treatments. Our precious daughters are Kinsley Grace (6 years old), Callie Jo (5 years old), and Cassidy Drew (1). Our passion is to encourage families through infertility, adoption and building stronger healthier families. Thank you for tuning in! We hope you are encouraged!

Kins has truly become a little farm girl! She knows her stuff. It’s the best way to raise kids. They learn it all and can handle anything.
And.....homeschooling in today's world is truly a blessing keeping junk out of curriculum that many parents don't need their precious children exposed to that is being taught in some public education.

I grew up on a farm and now we have had our own farm for over 30 years. We had everything including cows, horses, pigs, chickens, rabbits, etc growing up. Now we only have cows. ( we are getting too old for more - we are both 71) My dad would tie rags on our electric fence to alert the animals that it was there. Make sure your electric fence is low enough so that the pigs won't crawl under it. Their backs are pretty tough and they will get out if they really want something. A really good idea that my husband came up with that might help your fruit trees. He got a big (12' x 12')cement pipe and dug a big hole and sunk it into the ground long ways (so its open on the top) to make a holding pond. He put it where our property would naturally drain into it from all the pastures. So as the water is draining it is picking up cow manure which turns into liquid fertilizer. Then he pumps( with an electric pump) this water onto our orchard and other areas that need it and it really helps feed our trees and they are thriving. We recycle our water every day. Just thought his idea might help you. Good luck!👍

I've never been so early. Love the piggies. I had quite a few growing up and living on a farm was a great way to live.
Watching your family work on all the projects just makes me so happy! More people should be doing what you are doing, but we know that many people will not, including me. My husband and I have a garden and a prairie plot and a wooded area, but we are much older than you young’uns and there is no way we could do what you are doing. We tried ducks for a while but they loved hanging out on our front porch and pooping all over it. Then when we finally convinced them to stay off the porch, they went to the neighbors porch to sit and poop! We then took them to a farmer who had a variety of birds and ducks and they are so happy there. Praise the Lord!

Pigs need water to cool their bodies. They don’t sweat like dogs . They will die if overheating. Shade is important

@@dearleah7299 and they had issues with gossie the goose which was fed incorrectly and developed angel wing which is incurable disorder.

👍 gosh when you guys dive into homesteading you go ALL IN I wish I had the youth and land to fallow in your footsteps. AND in the unknown days ahead the Good Lord has you doing what many with open eyes and hearts are trying to do, weather or not it's in there city apartment, backyard in the suburbs or on a acre or 100 acres... preparing like Noah trusting Mary..... and I could go on and on.
Keep on, keeping on as I'm doing the same.. FYI old oil that's way past freshness date can be burned in oil lamps for light in times of need, that may be heading our way

Glad Phillip understands not to lift anything. Men are hard to do that listen to doctor's orders. And wife's orders. Lol. Least you were able to get everything done. Amen. Not the cheap plastic pool but the ones that are molded hard plastic. The piggies will love it.

Be so careful with piggy pooh..I lived on a farm with relatives who caught e-coli plus another bacterial strain from pig urine /poop. He was 6 yrs old and very sick and was transfered to Buffalo usa for treatment. He had to re-learn to walk . They traced it back Health dept to the pigs. So cute when little but carry disease in feces. This is where you can teach your kids the importance of hand washing on a farm. Adults as well can contract E-coli. Farm living GREAT and the does and don't very important..

You probably already know this but I just found out Epsom Salt is a good booster for plants..it has helped our trees and garden be more productive

Phil ..... look into setting up a solar panel to power your pig yard electric fence, if you haven't already done so .... the setting up the solar panel, not the looking into ...... I don't follow your vlog enuf to know if you have.
