Five Tastes

When Jesus describes himself as the "bread of life,” he's promising to be what we need, not necessarily what we want. Just as the Israelites struggled with the ordinary nature of manna and wondered, "What is it?", we too can miss God's presence in the everyday. Understanding Jesus as our daily bread challenges us to open our senses and truly “taste and see that the Lord is good,” finding God’s love even in the most mundane moments. Look around your life with faith and recognize the extraordinary in everyday life!
