Love this! The coverage and matt look on the black is perfect for Averland. Really like the 'clean' look too - shows that they take pride in the tank and it's really looked after. really nice brushwork and a stunning centerpiece all round. Bravo.
Cheers mate. I added some subtle weathering on the engine at the back but yeah with the empire having only so few I'd expect it to be kept in tip top condition. Plus I loved it too much to dirty it up.
ive seen a few of this resurgence in "oldhammer" videos lately ! .... and now i have my old empire army in front of me being repaired and getting new stuff painted !! :D .... thanks ! :D ....... btw tank loos great ! :)

Excellent work. I have two questions if I may. 1, Where can i get the rules for 6th edition Steam Tanks? and 2, how did you paint that beautiful wood effect? It blends in perfectly with the Tank's dark colour pallet.
They came out later in the 2002 (and reprinted 2004) warhammer annuals. There’s a blog online that has them handy as well. I did film a bit of me flicking through my copy but I filmed it portrait like a pleb so had to cut the footage. The woods simple, a dark no brand cheap brown (same sort of colour as stirland mud) dry brushed with Vallejo khaki and washed with Agrax. 👍🏻

Glorious model! My brother had the original Steam Tank and it was an absolute pain to take down.
I cant see it getting a lot of play time but like you said it's a glorious model!
