    Hello Chris ..this is EMMETT..U.S.M.C..great video on the headlight installation.. it also helped me to install the speakers as well because when I WATCHED YOUR other video on upgrading your speakers.. you did not go into detail on how to REMOVE the panel to get to the speakers. Which was truly what I needed to see ..so,. this helped a lot ..but I ALSO wanted give you a heads up.. because electrical connection was not too happy with you ..for not contacting and letting them know that you were going to make videos of their products and they would appreciate you CALLING them to let them know.THAT you would like to make a video on their products reason being..when you make the video the buyers start to call in and they quickly run out of stock of the item you were doing the video on.. causing electrical connections to have a large backorder problem for the customers especially for this US Marine.. so just wanted to give you a heads up when doing your videos of their products. To please let them know in advance that you would like to do a video on their product so that they can get ready for the large orders, for that product so they can keep their inventory full .and not have a large waiting list because of back orders..so just wanted to let you know Chris..
    I finally received my Bluetooth connection from electrical connections and we'll have to go back to your video for the install..
    👍👍👍👍👍

    A minor point- for both removing and installing the heat sink, you said turning it counterclockwise. I'm quite certain anyone attempting such an installation would know that is not correct, I just wanted to bring that to your attention. Thanks for the detailed instructions!

    Love it. Where I live there's hogs, deer, and other varmints that get on our roads. You can never have too much lighting. I have a 2002 Valkyrie with some extra lights I though lit up the road very well. After seeing your set-up my old Valk ain't nothing.

      I Like your videos Chris. One thing I did notice, is that on the LED lights you stated an in correct temp range, its -40c to 80c which is 120 °C range, you mistakenly read it as 40-80°C, or 40° swing. Just figured viewers may think that it is not tolerant to big swings in temps when it actually is.. Thanks keep up the great vids..Dale

      Just did my install, new LED bulbs are a great improvement!
      A few comments: CW= Righty - Tighty, CCW= Lefty - Loosey, Heat sinks tighten w/ a CW turn. ;-)
      I was able to do the install without removing the upper dash panel. I have Medium sized hands and it was tight until I got past the top of the fork head.
      I'm right handed and for some reason, I had more trouble doing the left bulb vs the right bulb using my left hand. Go figure. Using the wooden stick is a slick idea, but I actually reattached the clip on the right bulb without using it faster than with it. Again, go figure.
      I used "industrial strength velcro" for attaching the power regulator. It was too tight to try the heated screwdriver trick (for me anyway). Zipties are definitely better, tho. Hooking up the wires was easy coming in from the front of the bike.
      Very happy with the improved light output! Don't think I could do the high beams though, too tight!
      Thanks, Chris!

    Hey Chris thanks for great video, I have a 2012 gl1800 and it seems it couldn't fit with the spacer the clip went on Ok without it. Is the spacer. Is it possible its not needed if it installs ok without it? Let me know thx , oops nevermind I found out the problem was the right side of clio did not come out so when I got it out I'm was able to correctly fit spacer it was very quick for the low beams I did not have to take anything apart I just put my hands from top and bottom ..

    Was these bulbs cheaper than the pathfinders?

  • @lonnie.stephens
    @lonnie.stephens 5 лет назад

    Chris, that’s not a piece of wood you use for the head light clips. That’s a highly valuable, specifically designed piece of engineering marvel, or aka “specialty” tool! I use one for my ST1300 headlight bulbs.
    My teenage son, who rides an SV 650 and a Grom, says; Dad that tool is dope!!! I believe that means he likes it! He also tells me my tool collection is the bomb!! Is it me, or is English getting harder to understand?🤔
