I have battlenet on my main computer with my main account and when I bought the ally I bought mw3 on steam and created a new account so far no issues. Yea I know it sucks to spend the extra money but I wasn't willing to take a chance of my main account getting banned because I'm so close to getting interstellar camo. So I just casually play on my ally when I'm not sweating it up lol

I had to change my PS5 modern warfare 3 cross play settings to on and now I can find games below 100ping when before i was waiting for 10 minutes at 200ping
I was shadow banned for 5 days and then it was lifted. Meaning my account was “under review” and I couldn’t join friends and only loaded into cheater lobbies with 200ms ping. It was from either playing on the Legion GO or the Ally. I hadn’t been messing with TDP settings and things seemed to be working fine for the past 6 months. Never faced an issue playing on the Ally before last week. But I do believe what could have triggered it, is my Legion Go entering sleep mode briefly while telling me I had low battery, while I was playing the game. The screen shut off, I plugged my charger in and when I unlocked the device, the game had logged me out but the app was still open. This shift in power from Performance mode to basically almost off could have triggered the Anticheat if indeed TDP changes are a root cause. My next login that same day I couldn’t find matches and looked on the ban appeal site to see that my account was under review. I’d say play at your own risk and keep in mind all of the factors that could lead to a ban or shadowban. It took exactly 5 days for my account to clear. I didn’t receive any suspension or permanent ban after the 5 days. This is all brand new info and I plan on sharing it in a video but it answers your question so I thought I’d share my experience. Yes people are still getting banned. But it seems people are getting their bans lifted. Next step is hopefully for the anticheat to not be triggered by amd software etc. but who knows if that will ever happen. Playing on handhelds shouldn’t result in punishment and this needs to be fixed for sure.
If I were to buy a handheld and strictly use it for warzone, which would you recommend? I don’t mind installing windows on Steam deck. I like the idea of the deck and from the looks of it, it looks more ergonomic. Less performance though. Otherwise I think I’m leaning towards the Ally only because better performance. But from looking at it, I think the Steam deck looks more comfortable. The legion go is amazing but I’ve heard it’s uncomfortable to hold for long periods. Then again USB C and a larger screen. No proprietary egpu port. So I’m on the fence.
The legion go is the best for warzone imo because of great performance and the big screen helps so much. The Ally is great performance wise and lighter than the legion go and if you can get past the smaller screen then it makes sense. If the egpu is being considered the legion go also makes sense here and the comfort wouldn’t matter as much since you wouldn’t be holding the system at that point

@@ibr_x1325 I haven’t been shadow banned since around this point in time but I’ve occasionally seen comments of people running into this issue even up until a few weeks ago. Most cases I’ve seen have not been permanently banned. Their accounts have just been put under review for 5-7 days then it’s back to normal.
@@Misaac yeah after the recent windows update every single game makes my ally laggy and I’ve had to restart the device every time to make it go away. It sucks.
Thats because of the recent bios337 update + the windows KB5035853 or something update + amd app u need to rollback to bios 335 , delete the windows update, and reset the amd app after that in the windows settings. Ur welcome.
hi i have a question if you don't mind helping me answer, is there deadzone built in on the ROG joysticks? I went to my local shop to test it out and the game I was running was forza 5 and it had really high deadzone for some reason, is it something that can be adjusted all the way to 0%?
I got a Micron 2TB 2400 M.2 2230 NVMe PCIe 4.0x4 SSD for $158 on sale at Amazon in my Ally if that helps at all. Works great & have had no issues with it. Some people are even installing full size 2280s with adapters and putting 4-8 TB in theirs but those can sometimes require small modifications.
Just to follow up with some good prices I spotted right now, Silicon Power 2TB UD90 2230 NVMe 4.0 Gen4 PCIe M.2 is $149.99 right now, and the 1TB is $64. Also great options at a good price. As for copying the original SSD, I used a guide on RUclips for cloning the original Ally harddrive via Macrium Reflect. You will want to decrypt the SSD beforehand as well. But it was pretty easy and just worked right away after installing the new SSD
My thought was the over lays. Because on bnet it won't even let you launch the game when you use them. So somehow i bet because it's a handheld custom over lay they never planned for that and eventually find out it's being used and that's what makes them ban. They think the over lay no matter what it is, is cheating. They have in game info with a bigger size option too. I use that idk why people do other shit. For RUclips videos mostly yeah but that's a risk

I honestly did not know ppl used gyro for shooters😳i always thought ppl used gyro for racing games or maybe even a story mode game, but mp games is crazy to think bout. Ive never even used gyro for reg gaming
I’ve seen it being used in shooters in alot of videos specifically doom. Back when the steam deck first came out and I personally have tried using it in halo and MW2. It was very useful when I was camping for long shots mounted in the middle lane of Shoot house 😂
