And that’s not saying much because all stars sucks as well. It’s very limited with no replay value and barely any variety. It was a one and done for me. I never returned after the first day. With how people are saying that it’s better than battlegrounds I absolutely will stay far away from that one as well

I feel like wrestling fans deserve All Stars 2, but to be fair, Battlegrounds is the closest we've gotten in awhile. If it had the move diversity and dynamic striking of All Stars, it would've been one of the funnest WWE games in years.
We still deserve WWE All Stars 2. Battlegrounds was not that. I was so pissed I picked up the original after they shut down the servers but, I still logged a whole lot of hours against the CPU. That game was amazing.
WWE All Stars is still my favorite WWE game after all these years. Battlegrounds has clunky gameplay and not the best controls.
I played both again last night. All Stars gameplay is so much better. Much more individual movesets with lots of actual wrestling moves. Better art style and a CAW mode that whilst limited, is workable. You can't do sod all with the Battlegrounds CAW mode.
The last time 2K or EA took a year off on a yearly game was NBA Live 19, that was 3 years ago 💀
"WWE All Stars" is the real winner here. It's like seeing those WWE action figure toys come to life with an arcade style gameplay. And most of all, even to this day, it's a whole lot of fun.
People keep saying THQ is better than 2K but it's Yukes and Saber Interactive that are the developers! Clearly Yukes is STILL better. Nice video, man!💯

It really sucks that the developers of WWE All Stars (THQ San Diego) shut down. They could've made a definitive edition of All Stars or a sequel.

The biggest difference is that in all stars we would get most of the wrestlers whereas 2k battlegrounds lock them up in microtransactions
In All Stars, the wrestlers had gameplay related unlock conditions. In Battlegrounds, you need real money.

Well, the roster is actually tiny in All-Stars, and most of it was locked behind gameplay

The biggest problem with battlegrounds is that the camera shakes almost every move. It gives me a headache everytime i try and play it.

@@grimmashley8422 not for me visually I still like all stars more and the uniqueness in the characters like how the game should be are my reasons. Battlegrounds beat all stars with the amount of characters the game has but like you said it's 5 classes and their all copy and paste no one is unique besides certain grabs that some superstars can do they both are supposed to be arcadely type games so I can't use that excuse for battlegrounds when all stars was meant to be an arcade game as well

On the lights with all stars, they fulfill a look I really miss with modern wrestling, as they are meant to look like the flashbulbs you used to see the press use in the middle of matches. If you look at like WrestleMania x7, you can see people jump off the top rope and the flashbulbs just going off. I miss that aesthetic

Also in battlegrounds campaign the difficulty spike is enormous when you get to mexico , before then i felt like a boss defeating everyone then first match against daniel bryan took me ten attempts to finally beat him and kallisto was like tryi g to swat a fly with a piece of cotton
WWE All Stars is awesome! I think that game, mixed with the presentation of WWE Immortals and adding a decent story, could've made for a really fun gaming experience
I think Immortals would be great if it was remade under NRS for console/PC. Imagine THAT presentation.
To think that Battlegrounds was the only time that Mauro Ranallo ever got an in game commentary role and it's in this funko pop looking game, I would've easily picked him to be a commentator in the mainline 2K games at the time over someone like Byron "Can't decide if I want to the Stroke, Dream Street or Neckbreaker for my finisher" Saxton

All stars is a classic already. When i first even played it it was the demo on 360, waaay before i even played the full game but when i did i played it thru and it was fun. Never played Battlegrounds or heard ab it but its obviously why😂
If battlegrounds was a mobile game, it'd have succeeded.
The game is not bad, but I feel the game idea suits more to a handheld console and mobile game.
Remember going to Walmart for my birthday and finding all stars on PSP was on sale for a good price went ahead and bought it one of the main games I played for the rest of the year along with a few God of war games Naruto and the mortal kombat reboot in 2011 on ps3 was a good year for video games 😊😊❤
