@@Robtop-ml4sv no. They've just gone silent on it because it's in the development phase. Monolith was open for mass hiring last year, which means the actual work started after that. Might take around 2 more years to announce the game, since they don't want another Gotham Knights.

For as messy as Gotham Knights’ story is, I see it as a case of missed potential. A tale of Nightwing, Batgirl, Red Hood, and Robin working together to fill the shoes left behind after the death of Batman seems like a great story for a game or movie. At least you can say it’s better than the Gotham Knights tv show am I right
Yeah it definitely could have worked especially with the court of owls. But the messy execution of the game in just about everyway is the problem. Timing I think was also a problem. A few years after Batman seems to die in Arkham Knight, they release a game with Batman dead and you play as a bunch of the Bat Family that appeared in those games wit combat that appeared to be based on the same combat system. How could they expect people to not draw comparisons.
Worst? Superman 64, Aquaman: Battle for Atlantis, the videogame tie-in to Halle Berry's Catwoman, Batman: Dark Tomorrow. I'd even put Gotham Knights above Justice League Heroes but that's just me.
While Gotham Knights is far from the best, it's not the worst. That's just being disingenuous. And Origins is not a mid game. A hill I would die on.

Absolutely , I love that game
I like Orgins a lot. Even though its a City reskin, it has some of the best fights. Including my GOAT Deathstroke (before they washed him in Knight). Wish honestly the game could've focused around Black Mask more, but what we got was still great.

Batman Arkham Origins had the best boss fights in the Arkham series. Especially the boss fight with Deathstroke. Unlike how they did his boss fight in Arkham knight with tanks.
Respectfully I disagree with Arkham Origins being mid. Even though that is your opinion respectfully, I still say the game had some of the best boss fights of the whole series and had possibly the best story out of the series, too, I do agree the game isn't perfect and the gameplay could've been improved, but nevertheless, I think it's still one of the most underrated Batman games and deserves more praise as a great prequel game if you ask me
All the boss fights from origins suck. combat is worse than CIty and the gloves make it piss easy. The entire world is a copy paste of Arkham city.
Deathstroke is a glorified cutscene, literally press counter to win

@@ysurfed4648I like it because the christmas atmosphere is insane and I like seeing the more unhinged younger Batman. The relationship with Alfred was great, the crime scene investigation is insanely cool and makes you feel like the worlds greatest detective. It gave some lesser known villains the spotlight and I think its the only game that made an accurate Bane so far. It gave lesser known villains the spotlight and even though he was a bit repetitive, the joker was also great. Its not perfect but not as bad as people make ot out to be.

Gotham Knights combat is just so fun. I’m 1000 hrs in and I’m still discovering more things I can do. I’ve also never experienced any bugs. My experience with GK is fantastic. I give it a 9.5 out of ten.

WB Games seemingly fumbled the ball with their big franchise games these last few years. Gotham Knights was given too little time to finish the game after they pivoted away from Live service leaving it basically like 70 to 80 percent complete and since it wasnt a Live service game they took the larger portion of the dev team away almost immediately after the game was released leaving a skeleton crew to basically just release a monthly patch for like 4 months before abandoning it entirely. Suicide Squad was forced into being a Live Service game and because of that they got priority allowing them to delay the game even more to make sure it was a more complete product before release but the Story and Live Service model left a sour taste it fans mouths, then Hogwarts legacy their most successful game in recent years. Ended up barely getting any post-launch support. No major story DLCs and with no offical Sequel announced. A skeleton crew has been performing the updates to that game for months with the only "New" Content being new customization options and releasing Side Quests on all platforms and all Houses that used to be locked to PlayStation or locked to a specific house you chose in the game.
Simply put WB games had an opportunity to potentially have a great couple of years for games but due to Corporate interference they fumbled their chances at a great lineup

Throw crap at me if you want…but I liked Gotham Knights. First people didn’t like it because it wasn’t Arkham, then they just hopped on the hate wagon. Games actually good.
I think the timing of the game was wrong… but there IS some legitimate criticism on the other side. Though anything that is anything (even an absolute masterpiece) can be criticised so only those who have actually played the game can say anything.
Those who don’t like a game before playing and comment their hate despite not playing it are just shallow.

Arkham masterpieces😂 every arkham game upon release were very mixed until years after each had been out, with origins and knight being the most disliked out of the lot for its story and gameplay aspects, you'd know that if you were actually an active player of the series and not just some blind sheep hoping on a dumb hate circlejerk 😂
@@finger3306 I was there lil bro, I’ve been championing Origins as an underrated gem since it came out. And I still stand on Arkham Knight being the weakest Arkham game but that’s not exactly a huge insult given that metric.
Arkham City is only third for me personally but it is absolutely still a masterpiece as far as the superhero game genre is concerned for one, it stands well above most of the rest. And it was also always heralded as such. I wasn’t aware of Asylum’s reception at the time, but it was always a game I loved and praised personally.
Also, what hate circlejerk? I literally just praised Gotham Knights, I vocally consider it overhated. All I said was it doesn’t touch the Arkham games, which is fine, it doesn’t need to. I can admit it isn’t as good as something else without hating it or thinking it’s bad. Masterpiece and bad are not the only two qualities, believe it or not. As for Suicide Squad, it is legitimately just a looter shooter in DC clothes when it could have been so much more. That’s not a hate circlejerk, that’s an astute observation. If Gotham knights was a live service game (damn near is) why the hell were two batman games released in a row live service
WB was greedy simple as that.. the only reason Gotham Knights ISN'T a live service game is because the Developers saw the backlash that a live service game was going to get after Avengers and started stripping out the Live Service elements and try to make it more story based. They could have turned it around but they just didn't have the time to actually finish the game even with it getting delayed.

Tbh I'd still take this game over Suicide Squad KTJL most of the time. I'll always love the dynamic between the Bat Family and y'know, giving Batman an honestly worthy death. I just wish the game could've had even more time in the oven, no gear or leveling system, and all the costumes were mere unlockables rather than making them an ugly grind. (Honestly if it was from the beginning written with the Arkhamverse in mind, it could've probably reached a better result, and by extension could've served as a nice bridge to Suicide Squad with Batman instead of being dead, merely in hiding for the time being as the bat family is handling Gotham in the fresh weeks of his absence. With the Court of Owls seeing this as a chance to take Gotham like in the final game now that Batman is gone.)

I genuinely got enjoyment out of both Gotham knights and origins because if I find myself enjoying the story and characters I will continue to play no matter how bad gameplay can get
Let's not forget that there's also a Gotham Knights TV show, except it doesn't have ANY of the batfamily, and instead focuses on a brand new character who's Batman's adopted son named Turner Hayes and feels like he came from a wattpad fanfic or a late 2000s/early 2010s CW show since he doesn't even have a costume. He just wears a turtleneck, jeans, and a jacket

I know a lot of people come up to bat (lol) for Origins. It's an ok game, but I can't feel passionate about it in the same way.
Personally. I think Origin's strongest point over all the rest of the arkham games is just one thing. The boss fights. Origins has plenty and vaired boss fights that are all fun and unique from eachotheer. Everyone talks about the mr freeze boss fight and it IS the best in the series. But Arkham city really deosn't have that many boss fights and even clayface's isn't that good in the long run. But Oriigns? Deathstroke. Deadshot. Bane, Killer Croc, Copperhead. ALL great boss fights that feel very diffrent to eachother and requite diffrent stratages to win. Rocksteady always struggled past Mr Freeze to make a good boss fight. But Oirigns pulled off mulitple really good ones.
Am I the only one who actually liked the Gotham knights game… I really honestly enjoyed the story and the heroic assaults tbh and it being the only game where I can actually play in free roam as nightwing which is honestly my favorite character and better than batman story wise IN MY OPINION (don’t attack me you goblins who try to pick fights just cause you don’t get your way). The issue is everyone tries to make it a Arkham game when it’s clearly not… it’s less grim and dark and honestly a good take on the Batfamily in general. Kinda like how some people like comparing spiderman for ps4 which 98% think fondly of and an old school spiderman game that people also like. They may have the same character but they aren’t the same but people still enjoy it.
What I find interesting and kind of scummy is that WB Montreal didn't say Gotham Knights was connected to the Arkham games at first, but they didn't exactly say it wasn't. They definitely used the rumors and hype to their advantage, or disadvantage as the case may be.
Origins and Gotham Knights are great, great games. Suicide Squad makes me want to yeet out the window. From the 1000th floor.

I am a fan of both batman and spider man, also I've been getting into the arkham trilogy with the arkham collection which enhances my experience, I have to admit. The graphics on arkham knight might actually been on par if not better then spider man 2's graphics

I'm sure they were plans for more DLC for Gotham knights. But it got canceled due to the game not being a big hit. It is odd that they canceled the ps4 and xbox one version given that not enough people got the ps5 and xbox series x or s yet.
Now remember, because Rocksteady decided on Suicide Squad and it was canon to the Arkham games, it killed any chance of WB Montreal's Arkham Legacy game about Damian Wayne becoming Batman.
Gotham Knights has (at the VERY BEST) some mildly enjoyable gameplay with some rpg elements to it, along with a pretty okay story.
Suicide Squad is a repetitive mess with some good traversal (besides Harley) and an overall bad story that makes no sense, mainly due to the insane amount of plot armor.
Batman Arkham Origins is the goat of the three. Pretty awesome story with amazing gameplay and amazing traversal

Gotham knights is a cool concept that was poorly executed. I’ve always wanted a nightwing and a red hood game but I wanted it to be done in the same manner the Arkham series did Batman, Instead they made it an RPG spongy game with a flat story and that’s a shame because they have such good material for such an interesting set of characters but somehow they couldn’t hack it.
The Lego Batman slander is a crime, also Arkham Origins too I guess.

Man you can REALLY tell this game was suppoused to be a arkamverse game. Everything about it. From the way it plays and even looks? Screams that it was meant to be arkhamverse. But live service. But after avengerrs disaster they took the universe off of it and made it it's own thing possibly to not have as bad backlash.
Or more likley. They did it to try to salvage suicide squad's chances. You can kinda feel this may of been meant to be the arkhamverse game as Suicide squads story is pretty messy as a lot of things just don't match up with the ending of Arkham knight or the characters. But when they saw how bad avengerrs did andhow GK didn't have a chance to be sucessful? They disconneced it from the Arkham verse and gave it to suicide squad to hopefuly make it sell better.
