This version are a protected mode DOS program that uses JavaScript. Still it can be used with DosBox-X with the Network Card emulation enabled. It uses LAN drivers, not modems.

Back in the day we absolutely used the 80s version of Mastadon: dialing into servers that were "federated" to share Usenet News and Email messages using UUCP en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UUCP.
I think you confuse frames per second with fields per second. PAL plays at 25 frames per second and if it is interlaced 50 fields per second. (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PAL) Standard NTSC plays with 59.94 fields per second (interlaced). I think the biggest difference between old school PAL and old school NTSC is the resolution. PAL has 576 visible lines compared with 480 lines with NTSC, so a 20% higher resolution.
@@SquirrelMonkeyCom Well not really. While it is true that PAL is 50i, when deinterlaced properly, it gives a smooth 50p (frames per second). There are some videos on my channel that i have ripped from PAL tapes that as you can see, are in *true* 50fps because i deinterlaced it using yadif 2x which in turn gives a full 50fps output

Because every drive has its own directory structure. CD stands for "change directory" (change folder).
