@@Reel2ReelOutdoors Thanks for the reply Adam. Yeah 6' is what I usually run them at as well. I'm in the south eastern end of Lake Ontario ( Brighton) so your laws don't apply to us here in Canada. Wish we had the 3 rod rule though lol
Depends on water temp, what part of the water column I’m trying to target and what the main bait is. Example if I’m fishing a big rotator or paddle i generally will fix stack a slider.
I like to have them tight enough that they don’t false release but will still release on smaller fish. Really once you get them set they need very little adjustment
@@Reel2ReelOutdoors We fish out of Pentwater.... Back in the day, when you added a lure to the main line, we called it, an "add a lure" and then we would put another rod on the same rigger. We called the the "Stacker" So we had 3 lures on one rigger. That was back when it was pretty much all riggers and divers. Really enjoy your channel! Love Captain Chucks and everything you guys are doing... Good luck out there!
Cool video Adam. Love the channel and the Captains Round Table shows. Question for ya. How long of a leader do you normally use on the stacked line ?
They are about 6’. In Michigan there is a rule on how long they can be. I’m not sure the exact length but I will try to find it.

Do you prefer rubber band stacked or free sliders?

Anyone know if this is legal in all states?
So does the cheater bait just slide down to the main bait when you reel em in?
I was wondering how you determine the tension on the blacks

Do you use a certain size rubber band?
#16 rubber bands
What # rubber band do you use Adam?
Number 16
Do you run anything to protect the knot on your bottom swivel?
Nope. I haven’t found you need it. Just make sure the swivel isn’t too big on the slider
That’s cheating a spoon. Not stacking
Stacking is the use of 2 rods
On the East side of Lake Michigan it’s called stacking and sliding. Fun how every area has different names for things.

Ya. People get it wrong all the time.
