@@comebackguy8892 It’s just an opinion. Obviously the lack of blood and other elements in the official gun-barrel are meant to signify Bond’s death, but after 3 awful (the Casino Royale one is good) gun-barrels in a row, fans were maybe expecting something a bit more… erm… traditional, because even SPECTRE’s couldn’t manage that without completely screwing it up. I don’t think the original NTTD gun-barrel was too bad overall, but Craig still swings the Walther around like a baseball bat, and the SFX of the gunshot was the most generic thing I’ve heard in a long time. No punch to it at all. At least version fixed the arm.
@@horrorfanandy4647 Apparently you lack vision as well. The barrel doesn't feature blood, because it wouldn't have been as nice of a transition with it being a bunch of red all of a sudden. And they couldn't have the barrel fade either, because then the reflection from the trees would make no sense. The director simply wanted to do this because he thought it would look nice. And obviously I know it's an opinion, but opinion can be made by those who lack vision such as yourself, which you've clearly demonstrated.
@@comebackguy8892 I understand that perfectly well, perhaps I should have made that clear. I’m not saying this was better, just more traditional, and again, it fixed that arm 🤣
This works surprisingly well! The slow reveal through the dot, with the still air is chilling. Really sets the tone for the sequence ahead. Brilliant work.
I did like the original NTTD Gunbarrel but your version is definitely better. Perfectly captures the classic Gunbarrel whilst having that modern twist. Great work!
Goldeneye improved upon what was already great with after effects. This about the same with improvements. Spectre went back to the old style , no time to die gun barrel didn’t feel like it was done properly their was no blood running down the screen.
@@Csig8927 No shit, Sherlock. That's the point. It cuts perfectly to the white forest. Not saying that it should be a standard, but a nice one time kind of deal.

I vote we start a petition 🤣 But in all seriousness, I know exactly what you mean, I’ve never liked the new one as much, either guitar or strings, I don’t particularly care, I just would like it back!
I like this concept, definitely a throwback/traditional feel. However, I prefer the different styles approach ultimately, as we've had the same design for so long.
I disagree with your thoughts on the NTTD gunbarrel personally but i see where you're coming from considering we haven't ONCE had a proper gunbarrel sequence in Craig's entire tenure as 007 and his last one couldn't even get it right. Similar to the Die Another Day gunbarrel with the bullet in the barrel gag i don't mind this one off situation as long as they went back to the classic format for the next film.
Well, this is how it should have look like (just like your video about the Spectre-Gunbarrel - well done). I´ve watched this video a thousand times and since "Spectre" I'm still wondering, why it wasn't adapted to the previous movies. I love the previous similarity of all James Bond openings. It will never get bored. 1. Gunbarrel at the beginning (with the typical James Bond Theme) 2. Movement after the Gunbarrel 3. An opening "Bubble" which the spectators get through 4. A smooth transition into the Prologue In general, I don't like the Craig-Era not as much, as all the other masterpieces. No doubt, the Craig-Movies aren't that bad, but I can't regcognize the usual Atmosphere and it doesn't give me any "James-Bond-feeling". James Bond should be a charismatic heartbreaker, instead of a lifelong partner, without marriage and own children. His Oponents shouldn't have any connection to his past (his missions should never be personal). Neither do I like the fact, in every upcoming James Bond Movie, there is a new "mastermind" and the spectetator find out, he's the guy, who steered the prevoius Main-Enemy. All Movies should be separable, except the presence of Blofeld (although in my Opinion, in "Spectre" the relationship between James and Blofeld was too personal again). Maybe the producers of "Spectre" and "NTTD" tried to fresh the air, with this new kind of opening, but in my eyes it was a flop. And the flops keeped up. Before I unleash any Shitstorm against me, remember, *THIS IS ONLY MY OPINION*, "No time to die" was absolutely horrible. I didn't discover my "Dream-Gunbarrel", everything in this movie was personal, James Bond had a lifelong partner (I don´t like the fact, Léa Seydoux performs such a big role; the Bond-Girl should be independent and be perfomed by a different actress in every movie), he had a daughter and the worst of all, he died. James Bond is a hero and he shouldn't die anyway. I can understand the producers tried to close the Craig-Era, but such a final was not necessary. Every other Actor-Switch was functional without a dying James Bond. In addition to that, I can't accept a female James Bond. It's no intolerance against women, but I miss the usual presentation of James Bond and don't want any changes. It was perfect, as it was. I really don't understand, why they can't continue the "old" James Bond. Maybe any of you guys agree with me. I also hope the next James Bond will start with my Dream-Gunbarrel. Please don't let James Bond die completely!
While your version is great and extremely stylish I'd still pick the actual NTTD gunbarrel because of the color, lack of blood and faster expansion of the barrel after he shoots.
Genius? Really? They’re the worst gunbarrels in the whole series by a country mile. They look horrible, Craig’s walk in both is terrible, and they just aren’t very good. I mean, more power to you if you like them I guess.
@@imfsresidentotaku9699 Well they came up with a better transition that suits those 3D gunbarrels. Also I don't understand why they went back for 2D one in Spectre... that film is utter bullshit in every way.
That's not true. That's just a cope people have convinced themselves to justify the lack of blood. Bond's gun still clearly fires and seeing as the camera is inside the barrel of the assassin's gun there would have been a flash that covered the whole screen had Bond been the one shot.
@@Jackardy”Not true” nothing. You aren’t the people you are referring to. You don’t know how they think. In every other movie which has blood over the gunbarrel, Bond survives. When the gunbarrel has no blood, that’s a tip-off to the viewer that this time will be different. Even if it didn’t foreshadow James dying, there are other ways in which the film plays with the audience’s expectations.
They’d better hire you for the next one.
Why the fuck are you verified
As simple as a gun barrel sequence is, they couldn’t get it right once during the Craig era. Thank you for showing them how to do it right!!!

Such an improvement over the actual NTTD gunbarrel. Well done mate!
