Actually it was pretty interesting. You can see in whole youtube a M8 smashing RS7, E63 etc. We know that M8 is a beast but there is not much to watch how 850, which is actually fast, would deal with top performers and those guys showed us.

I just traded my RS5 for a 2019 M4 Comp. Wait a year or so and save some serious cash. Are new Bmw's and Audi's really worth that much when you are going close to supercar territory. Handling wise, for me, Audi's quattro system is near perfection and pin sharp, BMW's handling is different, solid but you can easy spin it and more fun. Depends what type of car you want I guess - still on the fence but if the UK was always sunny definitely would go for the BMW as more fun. So in Australia I love the BMW M8 or in the UK the RS7 for sure! Both look awesome though so I don't you can go wrong as long you know how you will drive in the different climates
nope... The M8 C and M8 C GC are way to fast for the Audi RS7. Not even the R8 is faster than the M8 C and the M8 C isn't even the fastest version. There still coming two faster versions. The M8 CS and M8 CSL. The M8 CSL would have 650hp or 700hp.
You need to wait for an RS6 performance to come out, and then test that vs an M5 comp... or just race tuned cars... I can tell you, a tuned RS6 will have its way...
Also, RS7 wouldn't compete with the M8 C since the RS7 doesn't have a performance variant yet so therefore it competes with the M8 without the Competition Package.

I'm just 15 years old, but I wish that Audi RS7 a long time. But how I said, I'm just 15 and I can't drive yet and the RS7 cannot be my first car because it's so expensive. The car is so beautiful, fast and I think the experience of this car must be great. Maybe in the future I will have an Audi RS7, but who knows. Great video!

Maybe 3 years ago this could have been true, but RS7 starts at almost $30k more and M850i is similar in 0-60. That's why I bought it over the RS7. At that price point I would have gone M8 CS

I had a 2015 audi S5 stage 3. Unbelievable car. And the quattro AWD system is FAR superior to the BMW's X-Drive. But parts for both will break the bank.

RS7 is not a direct M8 competitor, i believe its an 'A6 coupe', where as the 8series is like a '7series coupe' which is a step up the ladder, also explained by the price difference stated at the beginning of the video

How is the RS7 not a direct competitor to the M8 GC? What is above the RS7 in the Audi line up for that body style? What is above the M8 GC? They are the highest models for the relevant body styles. All of that is irrelevant though as like I previously stated M cars go against RS cars. What you are effectively doing is comparing 2 cars with different purposes, one is full on hardcore track/road car and the other is a fast road car. @@bigl3885 A quick check on wikipedia will tell you the which platform either is built on. The A7 off an A6, the 8 series off a 7 series. My argument is based off the fact that an A6 competes with a 5 series, a 7 series with an A8, which is why there is even the big price difference

It’s clear what’s happening here. The M8 GC exists. I think the mapping of the engine is what’s holding M850i back, BMW has to justify the existence of the M8. I reckon an easy ECU tune could unleash enough power to beat the RS7. Clearly the M8 would destroy the RS7.
lol, except the RS7 has bigger turbos (even than the M8) and is running a very conservative tune out of the factory - highlighting how much headroom VAG have in the drivetrain...note the same motor is in the URUS putting out 480kw... My stage 1 RS6 is doing 10.3-4 and 100-200 in under 6 seconds...Now thats value for money.

Especially now that the CLS is in the GT 4-door's shadow...Also could you race the previous gen CLS 63 against the previous gen RS7, and throw in the M850i for some contrast.

M8 should compete against GT63s, but unfortunately Audi does not have the model in this range. RS7 shall against the older M6 and CLS63s. I had a 2015 audi S5 stage 3. Unbelievable car. And the quattro AWD system is FAR superior to the BMW's X-Drive. But parts for both will break the bank.

Why are you racing a non 'M' car against an 'RS' model? Audi 'S' cars go against M performance cars. A fair fight would be M8 Gran Coupe (Comp or not) against the RS7
RS7 is not a direct M8 competitor, i believe its an 'A6 coupe', where as the 8series is like a '7series coupe' which is a step up the ladder, also explained by the price difference stated at the beginning of the video
@@jolz24 Yes I understand your bit at the beginning of the video but just because a company makes something a certain price doesn't mean it isn't a competitor. How is the RS7 not a direct competitor to the M8 GC? What is above the RS7 in the Audi line up for that body style? What is above the M8 GC? They are the highest models for the relevant body styles. All of that is irrelevant though as like I previously stated M cars go against RS cars. What you are effectively doing is comparing 2 cars with different purposes, one is full on hardcore track/road car and the other is a fast road car. Price doesn't matter, certain badges go against each other regardless of price. M vs RS, M Performance vs S, M sport vs S line.
I doubt there's an A6 Coupe...The 8 series GC is the proper rival to the A7. Period.

@@bigl3885 A quick check on wikipedia will tell you the which platform either is built on. The A7 off an A6, the 8 series off a 7 series. My argument is based off the fact that an A6 competes with a 5 series, a 7 series with an A8, which is why there is even the big price difference

They easily destroy an Audi. That's why they mess the M850i against the RS7. It's cause the M Cars of the 8-Series are way to fast for any Audi. I mean if you mess these cars on the german Autobahn, then maybe the M850i would be coming back and would overtake the RS7, if the limiter in the M850i not at 250km/h or 290km/h
It’s clear what’s happening here. The M8 GC exists.
I think the mapping of the engine is what’s holding M850i back, BMW has to justify the existence of the M8. I reckon an easy ECU tune could unleash enough power to beat the RS7.

lol, except the RS7 has bigger turbos (even than the M8) and is running a very conservative tune out of the factory - highlighting how much headroom VAG have in the drivetrain...note the same motor is in the URUS putting out 480kw... My stage 1 RS6 is doing 10.3-4 and 100-200 in under 6 seconds...Now thats value for money.

I thoroughly enjoyed this video..As a BMW fan I feel this race was a bit unfair, but still quite interesting...I have a suggestion. Could you race the CLS 53 against the GT53. Especially now that the CLS is in the GT 4-door's shadow...Also could you race the previous gen CLS 63 against the previous gen RS7, and throw in the M850i for some contrast.

You did not watch the whole video. His logic was to match the same price competition. M8 is way more expensive. M8 should compete against GT63s, but unfortunately Audi does not have the model in this range. RS7 shall against the older M6 and CLS63s. But sadly now Mercedes top trim for cls is cls 53 which compete with s7. And no more glorious 6 series for bmw 😞
