Paint job is awesome from start to finish. But imagine that car in dark red or black paint with this gloss. It will be sick. Show room quality paint job.
The only other thing i'd like to see from your videos is a step by step in the description of the steps. just a quick run down: Body filled and blocked car with 180, epoxy primer, block with 180, clean with water based cleaner, slick sand, flash, 2nd coat, block slick sand 180 then 220, up to 600 as per can instructions, clean and tack, 2k urethane on top, block urethane with 180 then refine with DA up to 600 grit, top coat and clear. This would help make things easier for guys like me that are new to painting cars! Great videos altogether, i'm learning alot!
just a small nuance that some people may not pay attention to-- ive seen so many painters on youtube that lay panels like doors and fenders flat or horizontal when they spray them off the car. not understanding that with metallic paints if you want the flop to look consistent along the side the car, you have to spray it as if it was bolted to a car. So laying a vertical panel like a door flat or horizontal when spraying it can cause your metallic to want to pull together and mottle more easily. Especially if you are a heavy sprayer that likes to lay the clearcoat real heavy, which people tend to do when a panel is laying flat because they know its less likely to run. Kandy man does it right IMO!

Show car paint job it's all in the prep. I did one yrs ago stripped it gell coated it than blocked it out by hand two and a half gallons of leaquer 90% prep = guaility job.
Damn my italian/ sicilian brother.. didn't know u only had 5k subs! I'm in kinda of early.. nice paint job.. so you drop coat after everything is painted.. must be nice. Im a rattle can pro, can do a hood anything and it looks great & its always metallic paint too. Anyways, i have to dropcoat asap each piece before there's any drying. One time it landed on flashed paint and had adhesion issues with the dusting for the clear or it was crap clear. It was a cheapo job.
I have an 81 that I am dealing with. I am not a fan of the collector edition look of the car at all, but good video. It would have been better a different color, but you like it , so all is good.
I wish I could have the chance to work with you on a job, I know i would learn so much . I been prepping and spraying for about 2 to3 years now , been showing the guy that trained me all of your videos and he's even impressed and amazed by your skills in the booth

What booth is that? And, size? It’s perfect and wide for room to get around the car and hanging parts. Most a see ar 14’. That booth is like 30’. It’s very nice and suitable for working on larger older classic cars.
can you do a video on how to tint the white under base coat on a pearl white when its off a little bit? Usually we pick the closest variant when we buy from our paint supplier, we dont all have a mixing system bank like you guys, some of us have to buy from the paint store and depend on them to make it right, How can i tint the underbase or how can i get a camera scan to get the closest match? Usually ive been adding drops of black.and using a spray card to tweak it but sometimes im off on the undercoat

I usually been adding some black to tint it but sometimes doesnt work, also sometimes my paint store doesnt have any available chips for those variances and end up getting me the standard variant
@@thescbaron just for clearcoat / solids is all they’re really needed for. Basecoat no problems. Battery is supposed to be good for a long day from memory and looking at them online. 10 to 12 hours ?
At 8:00 it looks like you missed painting the underside of the fender......My C3 is like that as well, that's why I know to look there....nice job otherwise!
The job is great but how does the shop make any money on these restorations unless your client base has unlimited bucks. Isn't there more money in fixing smashed Teslas than redoing old Corvettes? My best friend has a body shop and he routinely is asked to paint some old vehicle and he always refuses as they are money losers.

Bring a piece with you where you get your paint and match it there
