Izzy, just Wow! The content and quality of your videos is just amazing! Not only do you give us an insight into your gorgeous drawing process, you then take us to see so much spectacular art, architecture, street and nature scenes that I can only repeat “Wow!” Thank you and your lovely Mom for taking us on another wonderful adventure!👏🏽🖼️🤩💫
The rhythm of your videos is the same as your brush strokes. And even though I don’t quite understand what I’ve just said it feels like it makes sense:) One of us makes head tilted slightly down and away portraits look beautifully natural. One of us!
Oh I get that! It’s a surprisingly similar creative process so that makes sense to me. My favourite head position/expression to work with! Something about it🫶
Love the drawing! And a nice surprise was to see some pieces in the museum that were showcased in various episodes of the Portrait Artist of the Year show….
Nice one!! You have quite the way of capturing moments which are themselves worthy of art creation!! As usual, I have a bunch of favorites from this one. I also love the kind of random collection of paintings you showed, particularly the one @06:30, talk about life and art imitating each other!! The studio @07:01. What a fun, complex-yet-everyday subject. I have a question about the one @07:18. Is the artist one of the figures in the pic, maybe the guy who's second from the right, confronting the viewer? (Totally unrelated, I've also decided to try my hand at some of the airy noodling your piano guy does starting @04:55.) ...and of course your "practice" drawing!! Your process was enjoyable to watch, and your end result is something to behold!! The style feels very much like the style of your paintings. Your subject looks beautiful and so expressive, a testament to both artist and model. Is she a friend, a cousin, or one of your matter-of-fact agency models?
Thank you, I’m glad you enjoyed the video! So the painting @07:18 is called ‘Mindful Gaps’ by the artist Tom Waszkowycz and I’m not 100% sure but I don’t think that is a self portrait, I get why you’d think so though! And I forgot to mention in the video but I gave credit in the description for the reference photo I used which was from Jimena Agra's Patreon. Assuming she’s a professional model because the photos were just so good I had to work with them!
