in my first attempt to perfection I read through the wiki for all the 14 hearts events and choose Haley because that was so heartwarming I immediately forgot she was kinda mean (also the fact that she says something like "I'll be fine on my own" if you divorce her sounds confident and badass
That's pretty much what happened to me too. I chose Abigail the first time I played because of how Haley is at the start. Then I found out about her heart events and ended up marrying her to see all of those cutscenes and her dialogue. Forget about Haley having the best character arc, I think she might be the best villager in general 😂
I'm a big Minecraft..Animal Crossing..Harvest moon fan, but I had never played Stardew Valley until today. So far it's so whimsical and fun and the pixel art is amazingly done

The game is a masterpiece and I notice something new and clever every time I play through it. I realized recently that it’s no mistake the Shane is usually a person’s first spouse. He’s not hard to figure out. He likes beer and is always in the Saloon. He’s to only single person who loves beer. He also does not change for the better after marriage. It takes no real investment for the farmer to marry him so a marriage with him is not rewarding. This all feels intentional.
That's a really good point actually. I haven't seen all of his cutscenes but in the ones that I have seen, most of the things you can say to him just end up with him responding in the same way he did when you had a low friendship level with him. I might have to look into his cutscenes and dialogue a bit more, he could be one of the more interesting villagers to talk about if I do a full analysis of every villager. I have seen people say that his room in your house stays dirty and always has muddy footprints in it if you marry him so I can definitely see how he doesn't change for the better
Loved the video! I'll always enjoy anyone's excuse to write a love letter to this game. This game is simply amazing, and it´s helping a lot me during a rough time
initially when i played stardew, i couldn't really see what the big deal was with it either. my caracter was constantly exhausted, i sucked at fishing and i constantly got lost as to where i was but i kept playing for some unknown reason, and i would play for hours and talk to the villagers and donate and forage and fish until i got good and i'm glad i did :)

I remember also being incredibly bored with Stardew the first time I started playing it and gave up a little into Summer so congrats on making it to Winter on your first playthrough! I didn't get into Stardew until around a year ago and played it non-stop until I got my job. I haven't been able to play it since because I'm so busy now (plus I've gotten a little obsessed with Cyberpunk 2077). I love the variety of ways you can play Stardew and I'm so glad that you went into detail about it all. Obvs there's still the whole mystical side that you didn't really delve into so I'm hoping to see a video about it at some point! I think it'll be so interesting because I haven't managed to go too much into the mystical side of the game myself so I'm super curious
you can give krobus a special pendant after reaching 10 hearts and they'll move in with you, then u can get 14 hearts w them too! great platonic option :)
I really should have mentioned that in the video because Krobus is one of my favourites. I wish there was a way to introduce Krobus to the other villagers so he could walk around town and go to the festivals
I feel like i wasted my first year trying and failing to get everything i can. Fishing is especially difficult though im getting better at the game, its frustrating looking for a particular fish knowing you only have a few days to catch it and never finding it. Even using the wiki, its a hit and miss.
