Glad to see correct technical teaching and a teacher who obviously understood the mechanisms of the voice and the participation of chest voice. The student still has some work to do but I am sure he will improve quickly as he gets already into covering. I would be curious to hear him singing repertoire.

I wish I had you as my vocal coach in college…mine was a soprano who favored the tenors and sopranos and had no idea about the struggles of being a lower voice singer

Hi Mr. Hutchings! I have been doing the bass baritone warm up from your channels I was curious to know how can I smooth out vocal cracks. I can effectively do the full range warm up without strain. I just tend to crack while vocalizing.

Hi Jared! Send me a message on Instagram @mhvoicestudio if you would like to chat in a little more detail. Most of the time, voice cracks are just an imbalance in registration. Send me a message. I'll be happy to listen to an audio clip or two and give you my two cents on what is happening.

For how long has this student been singing? Great stuff.

At the time, this student had enrolled in collegiate voice lessons for approximately 1-2 years.

    What’s his lowest note?

Hi Michael. I believe he had a consistent (and performable) low D-natural at the time.
