Congratulations on your 100,000 subscribers! What’s so bad about having a Tesla totaled is that, as I understand it, you lose Full Self Driving. That’s $15,000 that is just lost.
For a $25,000 bill the insurance company would probably sue the other driver to recover the money I would think. But you probably would not hear about it.
One issue in the USA appears to be that, even if you win a civil case, then the other party will not normally pay your legal bills, so you can be out of pocket just raising a case. The other issue is whether the defendant has the money to pay compensation in the first place. One of the first rules of suing somebody for damages is that it's not worth it unless there's a good chance you will be able to collect on your win.
Your insurance only pays for it if you're paying for uninsured driver coverage. If you're not paying for that coverage, your insurance pays nothing, and does nothing, except maybe raise your rates for having been in an accident.
Hello everyone.... The Fed Ex Truck at 8:20 --- that truck is ahead with a signal on - it's impossible for a truck of that size to maintain a completely clear flank - so don't entertain this false belief that "it can only change lanes when it's fully clear." if ANY VEHICLE is ahead of you with indicators, even just partially ahead, you HAVE TO LEGALLY provide the space for the vehicle to enter the lane - the truck cannot be responsible for your inability to do so, or your incompetence by driving in their blind spot. Second note, a large transport truck will destroy your life instantly.... so not being generous ONLY puts you into peril. Don't be like Nate. Be smart.

The repair cost of these Tesla is one of the reason why i'm not sure if i want a model 3. I had a pretty similar accident (the first clip) with similar damages to my Kia, it was 9k to repair, not 25k. It's not an exotic rare sport car, it's a freaking cheaply made electric sedan for the mass, parts and labor shouldn't be that expensive.
I see more Tesla being "totaled" in accidents that are relatively low speed. I know this has to do with cast component method of construction which is faster/cheaper. Regardless of fault, that will lead to higher insurance rates for those models.
Parts are near impossible to get. so someone's insurance would be paying for rentals while waiting, it's a cost benefit with insurance. is the hassle and cost of repairing for the insured going to be more or less than just writing it off and not having the extra costs for months.
Just curious after the first clip, as it was stated the Acura driver was uninsured. Is it that easy? "No problem, bro, I just file it with my own insurance provider". And that's it? No consequence whatsoever for the Acura driver? Why take insurance at all then? This would be unimaginable her in the Netherlands, where a insurance is compulsory.
Some states here, like California, require you have to have insurance. If you don't you aren't able to renew your registration. It WAS strictly enforced until around 2018ish, when they only enforce it on certain people. However what some drivers don't realize is they can go after the at fault driver in the courts. And gain the compensation they deserve that way. And honestly since owning a car is the second most expensive purchase one will make in their lifetime, you'd think people would want to protect that "investment". Personally I think it should be required by law in every state, I think no fault states need to be changed, and it strictly enforced in harsher ways than just not being able to re-register your vehicle.... And I agree if I were in an accident and the other driver had no insurance, I'm going to rain he!l fire down on them, even if it's a garnishment on their earnings for the rest of their life. People get away with it which is why its so prevalent right now.... Because of zero consequences..

Yep, he was going significantly faster than the Honda. Demonstrating perfectly why it's dangerous to pass on the right, even if it's not technically illegal where he is.
why are most of the cars in US in such bad condition ? don't you guys have a TÜV or like a yearly inspection of your cars over there ?. How is it allowed to drive your car without front bumper or without fender ? I don't get it. In Germany Police would stop you right away and take away your licence plates and ban you from driving your car until its fixed and shown to an expert like the TÜV. 80 Prozent of those crashes are either due to bad conditions of the car or no proper drivers licence.
Only 15 states have any roadworthiness examinations at all, another 16 have emissions testing. There's a few channels, 'Just Rolled In' is one, showing some of the mobile deathtraps on US roads.
@@michaelmclachlan1650 that’s sick. In Germany the police takes away your car even when it’s just a little to loud. Because you harm other people with your car. They tow your car right away, and u have to pay like a 1500,00 dollar + fee. It’s just sick here. But good thing is we have way less severe accidents and much much higher safety standards. But sometimes it’s a little annoying to be honest. But when I see what’s going on over in the states I am glad our system is overly strict.
Some states also have very high numbers of unlicensed and unregistered vehicles... (California, Washington, Oregon) the drivers just don't care. If they get in a crash they flee the scene and it's tough to track them down. Very lenient prosecution of crimes like this has allowed it to flourish. When you see a smashed up car in one of those states the chances are high one of the above scenarios is true. It is not legal to drive a smashed up car, but the people doing it don't care because it's so easy to get away. Police often can't even chase them... They know what to do to get the chase called off immediately.
we don't consider it bad conditions unless its too loud or too low. The road laws here are broken. we spend too much time focusing on people with modified cars and not people with dangerous death boxes that could loose a wheel any day now. We don't even have inspections in my home state, so Its every other time I'm at a stop light I see a car with smooth tires or missing more body panels than it has.

@@thewhiteman02Yes he did, you need to get an eye test. The tesla driver had plenty of time to slam on the brakes. My guess is that he was looking on his phone.
@kartingboi360 no he didn't bro, first of all it's about being able to drive, that car pulled out and just got right in front of him, when he was supposed to be in the right line, not the left... also what you said made no fucking sense, why would I need an eye test on a video? There is no depth of field on a screen 😂 so that already invalidates what you said, but I'll agree with one thing is that he could be on his phone, but you can't prove that, but if he was, I'm still correct by technicality by him not being able to have time to react
There's a pretty good way of keeping your dog from running out into the street. It's called a leash. They're really inexpensive and you can make them yourself.

@@bryandbaker he could have been. However if he didn’t want to then he didn’t have to. There no law stating that he HAS to let him in. Or anyone else for that matter. What’s so bad about having a Tesla totaled is that, as I understand it, you lose Full Self Driving.
That’s $15,000 that is just lost.
As a truck driver, I know for a fact I wouldn’t be clueless in this situation 😂
😂😂
I have a question as a european:
When the other driver is uninsured, why does your insurance pay it instead of them having to go into debt to pay it?
I always wonder the same. I think your insurance is paying you and then tries to get the money back from the other person.
Those skirting the insurance laws tend to be the same without attachable assets, let alone attachable credit. Blood from a turnip, they say.
Be smart.
Well said👍
In France the truck driver would be found at fault for failure to yield to oncoming traffic and failure to check
And I know what you are going to said. Yes that’s stupid, but unfortunately real …
The car on his left literally gave him room to change lanes and he refused to. I just feel like people do this kinda stuff so that they will have something to send to wham Batam🤦🏽♂️

Matthieu is at fault there, you can’t just change lanes in front of someone like that in snowy conditions. The guy was going to stop in time for the red light but matthieus pretty much cut him off
I 100% agree, I even think Matthieu didn't use his blinkers, cus you would see it on their mirror right? In the right faced camera.
I didnt see him change lanes
And he tried to cut the clip so wham bam wouldn’t see

#1…wow, driving his brand new vehicle during Friyay afternoon and got hit by an uninsured driver….what a way to finish the week off. The other driver was considered a criminal who had the intent to cause harm, by operating a vehicle recklessly without auto insurance.

I fully understand the Tesla Hate listening to some people talk about Teslas. I have a Tesla and the way some Tesla drivers talk about their cars makes ME hate Teslas. People acting like no other car can do what Teslas do, referring to the car as My Tesla instead of my car, thinking no other car is as fast as their Model 3.

11:31 bro i was looking at the Jeep Cherokee in front lol
That hatchet had a leather handle. I bet it got wet and he sat it out to dry in a place that it wouldn't be noticed. A bit odd.
Anyone else notice what looks like to be a small fire ball in the grill of the pickup that rear-ended the tesla around 4:40 . Video number 14
It's not a fire..... it's the reflection of the orange light reflecting of the water spot on the camera
Yeah, their repair costs are astronomical, and they are very easily totalled...
Ok bud.
8:56 he cut off the Honda driver on snowy conditions, that’s 100% the Tesla’s drivers fault
1:25 THAT was a SCREAM??!?!?!?!
Next playbutton is for wham baam espanol and it’s coming soon!!! Keep up the great work❤️👍🏼

As a fellow Vermonter, I can say we have A LOT of Tesla vehicles here. I can't drive five miles down any road here without seeing at least one Tesla.
Hello fellow Vermonter

#9 is a bad driver. They didn't cut you off, your a liar. The video clearly shows the only driver needing lessons is Nate. "you're" and "douche". You misspelled those. Along with no apostrophe in "Nate's".
Why are these lastest generations of Americans such bad spellers?🙄🤔
I'm guessing that they just don't care, which is a sad state for the US when these people are running the country in the future. 😒😧😕🙄😣😞
They just say, "you know what I meant." and just continue to be lazy about it.
yes he is a bad driver but the truck did cut him off what are you talking about? and he didnt block the semi he was following the car infront keeping a safe distance
$25,000 for that crash? 5 time more expensive than normal...
If the Honda that pulled in front of Juggie was doing 75mph in a 60 zone, then just how fast was Juggie going?
Yep, he was going significantly faster than the Honda. Demonstrating perfectly why it's dangerous to pass on the right, even if it's not technically illegal where he is.
I was wondering the same thing.
Yeah Juggie was at fault here but the waham bam would always point it on a Honda lol
Far be it from Wham Bam to point out Tesla cammers when they're in the wrong. He just reads what they send him, no need for facts or logic.
@@mbryson2899 I'm sure he doesn't want to deter those sending in videos for his channel, but that doesn't mean others can't take a view on it.
why are most of the cars in US in such bad condition ? don't you guys have a TÜV or like a yearly inspection of your cars over there ?.

The fedex truck knew exactly what he was doing. You can tell he was hesitating swerving in and out.
Yes, and Nick should have been gracious and let him in instead of being a d*ck then feigning indignation.
@@bryandbaker he could have been. However if he didn’t want to then he didn’t have to. There no law stating that he HAS to let him in. Or anyone else for that matter. If you have position in a lane and someone wants to change into it then they have to do so safely. That wasn’t safely. There for IF he would have crashed into another car because of the truck forcing his way in then it would be the truck driver at fault. Now, is it still worth it??? Idts.
