Jones forgot to mention:
- Even his 205 title got stripped due to failing a USADA test.
- Get many main events cancelled due to his scandals.
- Took 3 years time off and granted a 'vacant' title shot from upper weight division not from his own division, if its a vacant title it should be between 2 ranked opponents from same division.
- He only won 1 fight in 265 division and not against a champ, against another contender.
Letting Jones keep the belt for 1 year under these circumstances is ridiculous.
I think we all know the bad things about Jon Jones' career, but we can't forget what he achieved at the age he was, and if we're realistic, at the age he was and the money he received, I think a guy who almost just got out of adolescence to see himself with so much money, I think there were few of us who didn't make mistakes, this is to say that I think it's more than fair for him to keep the belt even more so if he got injured preparing for a title fight
@@jorgepereira1042 The man continued to make mistakes as well as be a danger to himself and loved ones. It's inexcusable and the reason he's allowed is because of the Dana White Privilege. Fighters have been expelled from the UFC for abuse violations and Jon has a rap sheet for it. It's because he draws.
Exactly. Jones is lucky he wasn’t banned from the UFC if it was a company that put morality over money he would’ve been. He had one fight at hw against a guy who wasn’t even the real champion himself.
@@jorgepereira1042forgetting anything bad Jon did, he's the rightful belt holder at HW, so he should definitely get the courtesy of choice, but he needs to choose between Stipe and the belt, Aspinal is the belt path, not Stipe, but forget Jon altogether, why does Stipe deserve to cut in front of the interim champ? Stipe has been given many opportunities and he's won and lost, but the idea he should get never ending favors for defending a belt literally just a few times or for whatever reason somebody wants to say is kind of silly... Calling Stipe the greatest HW of all time is crazy to keep falling back on, when he keeps losing to guys who aren't the greatest, and the best is literally only 3 title defenses anyway, it's not comparable to Jon, DJ, GSP, those guys... So stop saying it like u mean he's on that level, bcuz he's literally not...

Check out what Aspinall said on his most recent epsiode he was on the BYM he elaborates more..But if we had 2 LHW champions gave up the title to keep the division going it keeps the sport a sport and keeps the train moving..When jones comes back he would still be fighting for a title and give him his points since he didn't lose its.idk Stipe vs Aspinall makes sense

Yeah I don't get the issue with this at all. It's absolutely no disrespect to Jon Jones to say he should be stripped so that the division can carry on. All of Jon's accolades and achievements are irrelevant to that.
If Jon Jones does not want to fight Aspinall. The heavy weight title should be vacated.

Jon has done nothing at heavyweight, he’s actually done less than Prochaska on Jamahall Hill who won the title against Glover who is a world champion, Gane has never even been world champ and yet those guys vacated when injured but Jones doesn’t. Ridiculous, Aspinall has achieved way more at heavyweight.

I don't agree stripping Jon and recognize Tom as Undisputed. But make Tom's next fight for Undisputed. That could lure Stipe the chance to be 3x Undisputed HWC and would be the biggest fight they could make for UFC 300.
And it's no knock on Jon. He can have his title fight when he's healthy and ready. But that could be a long time.

Jon is sitting on the title just to be able to say that he beat the best heavyweight ever in Stepe. Problem is that Stepe is coming out of retirement after a 3 year hiatus. Not the same Stepe. Moreover, Stepe is considered the best because he has the most title defenses. Jon cannot beat Stepe and claim to be the best lightheavy and heavyweight of all time. Jon has to beat Stepe than defend 2 more times to break Stepe's record.
