Stayed at Aria a couple of weeks ago, checked out there menu and walked away, living in Texas there’s plenty of Mexican restaurants

Man this is a tough one but living in San Antonio...seeing 2 enchiladas for $32 is a tough pill to swallow but I understand you're paying for the rent not the cheese. Everything looked good, and I don't think $9 is too bad for a milkshake...especially on the strip. It looked tasty too! Fun video...but if you ever do a slow mo enchilada cutting time again....
Now i need to go to Texas....I'm hungry for Tex-Mex...

Always like to hear... Another Fooooood Video The problem with high end Mexican restaurants is the difference between them and street food quality isn't as drastic as a High end Steakhouse and a steak at a Casual one. So it's hard to compare the 2. So I think that is why it's just solid.

Love the video collab!!! We have a Javier's in San Diego and while it's pricey the ambiance is great for a date night out with friends or your partner. The food was delicious and watching you guys eat is making me hungry. 🍹
We love Javier's because it's different than the Mexican we're used to here in San Antonio. We grew up on Tex Mex but can appreciate the elevated Mexican when we're not at home too!

I have been this restaurant a few times. It is good but not great. You are certainly paying for the location and ambiance. The Gelato across the casinos is the best in Vegas and it is reasonable too.
I love Javier’s. I love staying at Aria too. The tram to Bellagio is a big plus, and an easy walk to the Park MGM. Aria has lots of good restaurants too, including Jean Georges Steakhouse, and Carbone. The casino is a manageable size. And Gem Bar still comps top shelf drinks for every $20 you put in the VP poker machines. (Playing full credits, of course) The pool area is lovely too. And the Sky Suites are top notch!

Thanks for doing a review of a sit-down Mexican restaurant. Good to see Pomsie and Greta .I love Mexican food and enchiladas are my favorite. The prices are a bit high over $30 for the enchiladas. A $9 shake? well ,my local ice-cream and food yesterday now chares $7 for a shake.
Really nice change from steak and pizza, but all things considered I'd rather be at Chapala on East Tropicana. It's been there 40+ years. Must be doing something right! Hope the $9 Coke came with refills. The shake for $9 seems like a better deal. Love your dinner dates. The three of you are funny.
The best Mexican I've ever had was in NY NY, cannot recall the name of it but my Wife absolutely loved it! We are from the UK so it's not very common over here.
If you decide on this place, I suggest ordering the, Trio de Enchiladas Del Mar for about $50. If you’re with a significant other, an order of the Trio and another side dish to share could work out perfectly if you’d like to keep the bill somewhat in check. Enjoy!

Im a petit girl, I ate the whole trio and it’s not worth paying 50 for enchiladas. As a Mexican it was mid. My bf got a tiny steak and a tiny lobster for 90$! Still can’t believe the margaritas were $20. We went to another Mexican restaurant the next day that was cheaper and authentic cause I felt disappointed.

@@1takesituation I’ve been to nice restaurants and different types of food. There’s a reason why they have low Yelp reviews. Cause it’s overpriced and overhyped. The food was okay but it wasn’t wagyu and caviar. It’s just enchiladas. We like to go to restaurants to be impressed by the food and would be okay spending 200- 300 just for two of us. We’ve done it many times and that’s just my honest take. We just went cause we were invited for a birthday.

I would like to see you eat at more local spots. Doesn’t matter the type of food. If you can go gamble at gas stations you can spend a little more time eating off the strip.

Loved my meal here. Salsa definitely is a little spicy, the vibe there was great. Will definitely go back to them.
I ate here a year or so ago and I wasn't blown away by it either. Shrimp enchiladas were good, but, like Chris, I wasn't a fan of the beans or rice. Growing up in So-cal you're surrounded by better Mexican food! The signature drink was small and expensive too. I thought it would be a bigger drink, so that started my disappointment in the place!

Rookie mistake Matthew… you could have ordered a combination dinner with a few different items on it and left fuller. I was STUFFED after a normal plate there but I can never finish what I order anywhere 😂 I recommend Javier’s for their cocktails also. The crab and shrimp enchiladas are soooo good in my opinion 🤤 slow mo milkshake drinking time!!

Their margaritas are superb - maybe starting with 2 of them would improve your opinion of the food...
It's a little (LA) overhyped. But it's very good food, especially for seafood lovers. I had Cabo Azul, which is Lobster enchilada, a relleno stuffed with crab & shrimp, and a shrimp taco.
Best high end Mexican on the Strip is Casa Playa at Encore
We went to Carlos and Charlie’s at the flamingo hotel and we thought there food was really good. Have you ever tried that restaurant

Hi Matthew! Enchilada means "spicy one." Yours was made with red chiles, so, yeah, something spicy in there (like the whole sauce.) Unfortunately, we have much better Mexican food here, and the enchilada plates are no where near $44.
It's expensive but looks good. It's on one of the foodie tours I think.
I go to Javier’s at Aria each year I go to Vegas. I think it’s pretty damn good. I’ve seen other reviews talking about there’s better choices on the strip but no one says who? Enlighten me!

The salmon entree is the only thing I'd probably order. It's not an authentic Mexican dish but looked delicious. The chicken enchiladas are way overpriced. The crab ones are worth the price... thanks for this review.
You have to try the "Tabla" y has a bunch of meats and comes with everything. It was the must try there.

That looks good! After over 30 trips to Vegas we recently went to China Mama off the strip and it is amazing!!! We highly recommend that you guys give it a try. I think Norma went there in one of her videos.
No more Taco Bell. They and McDonald's are just about ruined. 5 bad experiences at both. Pay for sour cream..no. McDonald's..want a pumpkin spice latte..they argue w you over the price or oh our machine is broken. Only problem at Starbuck's is they run out of white chocolate for the coffee. My new Starbuck's on Hwy. K gets a GOLD STAR AND A+! Nice. Friendly. Efficient. Price $6.54 for a Grande'. If that gets me to work and smooths out my day. Fine. Better than the lip service I got at McDonald's...or the Zumbehl one. Playing in her phone and not taking care of the customers. It's not her B company.

Hi Matthew I am so glad you reviewed this restaurant, when I was at Aria a couple weeks ago I tried to get in but they were booked, all your food items looked good, but nothing really looked “special good” for the price you paid. $9 for a coke.. yikes … I guess you are paying for the location and ambiance, I think I will still make reservations for when I am back again in June. Thank you!

I thought Javier's had a nice atmosphere and very good drinks but sadly mediocre food for that price. I had the trio seafood enchilada. Average at best.

So I love a good gelato but I’ve never had a gelato milkshake is there any difference in taste between that and a normal milkshake?
I would say similar taste but more smooth and not so heavy in the stomach
