Extreme Winter Time Drag Racing - Climbing a Ski Hill

- In Wisconsin Drag Racing does not stop when the snow flies. We have plenty of racing events in the snow and ice and one of them that I think is super interesting is this Keyes Peak Uphill Truck Drags that happens every year at the Keyes Peak Ski Hill in Florence, Wisconsin. It is in March so all the summertime Mud Trucks are getting ready for some action coming up in the next few months so it is good testing of the vehicles in this drag race going one of the ski hills they have here.
In this event they do have a style of Christmas tree light that you cannot see at the angle of where I was shooting the video but that is how they are starting and the big flags on the side of the track up by the top of the hill is where the finish line is. And to be honest I really was not keeping track of who was winning or losing in this event, I was just having fun shooting video. And besides I could not hear the announcer very well at all and when the trucks were blasting up there it usually was a white out of snow flying around. What a great time, I hope you enjoy the video!

I was at this on Saturday in as epic and when that green jeep crashed and losses both wheels
And clemo and rage are two contestents on race and clemo had the purple truck and rage green ford bronco

This is awesome and only 4 hours away. Maybe I'll get out of the house someday.
Yeah it is a good time. There is a couple thousand people that come to watch this event. Pretty exciting for a town that only has a population of 400 or so.

Love seeing those old Fords especially that black Bronco. A real Bronco that is not a corporate screw up like the ones they making now. I’m surprise there is no coal burners running the hill. Love the content keep it coming

I’m pretty sure left lane won the most races
It was interesting because around Noon time when the sun became really bright and softening up the snow a bit the right lane went to crap and had big ruts. Usually the left lane is the worst because it has a bit of an slop or angle to it when you get close to the top so your truck will want to slide the rear end out to the left a bit to get up it. Great time though, thanks for watching buddy.

Have been racing cars , trucks, motorcycles for 50 years, interesting video,problem is that snowmobiles are the absolute funnest most interesting, enjoyable and fast vehicles out there so watching other vehicles during the winter season is almost....🤔🤔🤔 But thanks for the video 👍 I'm a little cranky this morning because I'm doing my spring service to put my sled in the trailer for the summer 😂😂😂
