    Oscar has always had such a refined aesthetic, and is such a pleasure to listen to. This is a marvelous recording, from back when there were so few talented craftsmen of the instrument. Brings back many fond memories of that time.

    One reason his sound is so pure is because he’s playing on the right side of the nail….
    Terribly underrated within the pantheon of all time greats.

    I listened to maestro Ghiglia before ever hearing Segovia and I never associated one with other. His interpretations are emotionally magnificent with tonal and rhythmic organic Modulations.

    Fantastico LP a livello dei più blasonati vinili di quegli anni e molto dopo ancora: suono, carattere, poesia, estetica, tecnica smagliante del Maestro Ghiglia appena trentenne.

    Wow, this guy is *all* about clarity.
    Would be nice if you changed the track lengths to actual times so we could click to jump around. The first have is kinda sleepy stuff for playing in the office and it puts the others to sleep. Gets better around 30:00 where he starts to get into the Albeniz set...

      I don't understand. I can't modify your "about" information.

    • @TrydisMikee
      @TrydisMikee  10 лет назад +7

      eschelar
      No, but you can figure out the timings for yourself and post it here. I used to work for someone who, if a worker complained about something, he would assign him the task of making the change. It kept complaints down and made people think about what they ask for.

    • @eschelar
      @eschelar 10 лет назад

      TrydisMikee That's effective when you're the boss and the person is working for you. To be honest, at my office, that's how I run - when I see a problem, I try to find a solution or implement a solution before reporting it.
      However, the key flaw here is that you're not my boss, it isn't my job to listen to your videos and because I'm listening to your music in the background while I am at work, I'm probably less inclined to do your homework for you and more inclined to just skip the vid. Which is why I put a time of 30:00 which is clickable to jump to the more interesting portion of the recording. Better than nothing.
      In fact, me (and others) coming to listen to this vid gives you more hits and can count towards your monetization of this vid if you so choose. So yeah, it would be nice if you put the times on there so we could click to jump around. Kinda pointless to put the information there otherwise.

    • @TrydisMikee
      @TrydisMikee  10 лет назад +6

      eschelar Clearly I didnt get my point across. I already did my "homework" by putting much time into digitizing this vinyl and cleaning up the crackles in order to share some nice music with anyone who wants to listen, not to make money. I have no responsibility to do that or anything more. I would hope others would "pay it forward" and add to the project for all to benefit if they think they can do so. in the time you spent discussing this, you could have done the math and accomplished this instead of rationalizing why you didnt. Enjoy !

      I would also like to know exactly what makes this a "trainwreck"? Is it his sense rhythm, or his warm and pleasant tone? Or is it his respectful rendition of the music? Maybe his clean and noiseless technique bothers you? Maybe you're just an idiot troll. Or just an idiot.
