Just make sure to have it fully serviced (it is called here "zero service") before your first ride. There will be most likely be metal shavings (chips?) in the lowers but can be other issues. I've got mine on sale at Jenson. It's Grip 2 but 2021-2022, thus without reinforced crown. The metal (aluminium?) rode that "turns" the high speed compression was not operable: it was broken, but broken in such a way as it seems that it was designed like that. What I mean is that rode was machine-cut! The mechanic managed to fix it, but there must be something fundamentally wrong with QC at the Fox Taiwan factory. The mechanic and his colleagues here (Ukraine) say that unfortunately such zero service is a must even for such top of the line suspension products. And my case is a good example why. I am yet to pick up the fork from the shop and sure it will ride brilliantly (it's top in it's class according to mbr, bikeradar, bikeperfect, off-road, etc.), but Fox has to do something. P.S. You might want to check the pinkbike review of the latest SC Nomad - Fox X2 shock, which came stock on the bike, "developed inconsistent rebound damping after a handful of rides due to aeration" (guys in the comments section also share their stories with the product). My mechanic said that he had to service brand new X2 ($700!) last week - it was spitting with oil out of the box. I am here not to bash Fox, but just to warn you and other riders to pay additional attention to their newly bought suspension products irrespective of the manufacturer (there are similar stories with DVO, Ohlins, RS).
@@LoveMTB You are welcome! Thank you for keeping this excellent channel - I bought those Deore 4 pistons and refrained from buying XT/XTR shifter due to videos posted here.
Hello, very nice review, you could also mention the change of the axle clocking from 2020 version, it now has adjustable thread on the end of the axle, many people dont know this and have their axle in wierd position. Also this QR axle is very heavy, it weights about 125g, if you switch to KaboltX axle you can get rid of that black spacer too and save about 90g.
That is going to be one sweet bike when done. The Fox fork is a nice choice, but please my friend go with Shimano for the drive train. I know you like your Sram components.
My $25 fender survived exactly one crash; the weak point is how it attaches to the bleed valves the plastic is very thin at the contact point, and I was able to hack it with zip ties. I recently purchased a 140mm 36 Performance Elite Grip2 and have some regrets about not getting the 34 FIT4 (had one on my past trail bike and loved it) - you definitely feel the weight on this 36. If you mainly ride gravity, don't think twice, the amount of adjustability is mind-numbing, and it's stiff. If you pedal up a lot, you might want to think about it. Great Review
As salam aleykom! I need your help brother, or anyones help! I need your advice on what bike is better? Bike1: KTM Ultra Ride 29 Bike 2: mtb superior Active Fly carbon 610?

Can’t tell you how many of your old videos I still reference.
Great content!
Talk about leaving no stone unturned when doing an unboxing. Nice job sir!

I love this bike!I want see this project finish it!hello from Bucharest România 🇹🇩
I have a 36 grip 2 and swapped it with a Lyrik. The Lyrik just seemed more plush on the roots/rocky stuff I ride.
I wanna do the same thing how does it feel
@@topchoice1621 pretty happy with it. Small bump sensitivity is better
@@tinshield cool

I can only dream of such a fork
@@LoveMTB i hope
Excellent analysis!!
in before the manitou crowd chimes in.
but the mezzer really is a good fork.
I was wondering about shortening the travel! I have the same fork but I want to change the travel from 150 to 130. Maybe do a video on this process.

Funny, i have a GX drivetrain on one bike, and a SLX on another. The GX is hands down better.
As usual another great review. When is the Antidote getting the rest of the build up? Shimano I hope.

Are the high speed and low speed independent or when you adjust one it also influences the other a little too?
Lyrik and Pike is the best for me..👌🏽
Why did they shorten the uncut steerer? My Canyon Spectral came with a 9 3/4 cut steerer.
Wish I knew that
Have you tried the Bikeyoke Sagma saddles? They have suspension damping in their rails. Would be interesting to see what you think about them
How about trying Shimano Linkglide drivetrain on that bike?
How bad was last year's creaking issues that Fox had to consider changing the crown ?
Pretty bad?
How did you set this fork up for your riding? I bought one, lots of adjustments relative to lower-end forks.
Good choice sir, new 36 2023 looks the same 38 2022,
It's really a shame that such expensive fork does not come with sett of different color stickers. It definatelly should.
Is there no 4 digit ID numbers anymore?
is there a difference vs 2022?
There’s always tiny differences in default setups, not that is mortals would feel the difference…
