Miranda Lambert is BACK! This video most likely describes where she is in her life right now.The beginning with the wreck ( her marriage). By the end, she finds a NEW beginning. Good video.

Loneliness drives us to do things we usually wouldn't. Anything to have arms around us, and a safe place to land, no matter how brief it may be... just to feel "alive" again. Even though it might leave us with no life left. Anything to feel loved once again and remove the sting of loneliness and rejection. Dear God save us in spite of ourselves. Gracias, Amen.
I love Miranda so much.. Seeing her in concert this year was everything. I just love how from the last time I saw her in concert (2 years ago or so) she's changed her persona so much.. And I love how she's given this album the feel of "I'm hurt and struggling but I'm still kicking". By far my favorite female country singer
I see a wonderful, powerful video here. I have been going through a divorce with a highly abusive man. After the split, I was a lot like the woman in this video. I had the same vice. I wanted to run to other towns where nobody knew me. Everywhere I went it was the same. Wake up, grab my shoes, and get going...proud of it? No. Learn from it? Yes. I was abused. I took out my frustrations in ways that other survivors have for years. Many tests later and several counseling sessions got me back on track. I've finally learned who I am and "how I got here."
I too have a similar story of abuse, and domestic violence. We are both survivors! Fortunately I did not pick up any vices after the split bc I have a 7 year old son to raise on my own. I don't even drink! I am glad to see that you realized your actions were bad, and changed them for the better! Keep looking forward, never back!!!
I tell you what...this man is highly influential in the county. He took me all the way to trial. My 5 year old baby is having to go to him every other week, because the system failed her. It came out in trial that the investigations were incomplete and/or mishandled. There was evidence of physical abuse on my baby after I got her back from his house. Guess what was done? Nothing. The judge couldn't rule on custody due to the amount of evidence he was presented with. But, they still let her go. I'm not stopping until she is taken care of by someone that will not hurt her. I don't drink, smoke, nothing...I have to take medication for depression and PTSD, but that's normal. I was on FMLA leave for so much stress. MY BP was 150/110 and pulse 140. I was having gallbladder pains and breaking out in rashes. Trial was horrific, but my story would not have been told without it. I told the good, the bad, and the ugly. He, of course, told lies! He got caught in many. So, yes...abuse is Satan and the Devil has too many advocates out there.
These lyrics for me come from a deep dark place of personal reflection . Holding a mirror up to ones life & choosing to accept what you see. Not easy to be honest about ones flaws, failures, & weaknesses. I applaud Miranda for sharing these feelings, ones that we all struggle with. Sad that it didn't get the airplay it deserved cause I think it's one of her best!
I'm surprised I've never seen her in a movie. Her acting skills from the drama here to the comedy in Not My Mama's Broken Heart are amazing. Love her music. Love this song.
I went to sleep with my headphones on, and this song literally jolted me awake out of a deep sleep. I don't know how to explain it, but I remember gasping because it was just so powerful. I know it sounds corny, but it's true. Been my favorite ever since.
Everything about this “death song” is incredible. The vocals the background vocals or should I say the echo of the background vocals, the drumbeat, the rhythm, and the lyrics. This song is hypnotic in a sense but also brilliantly composed and written.
The music video opens on the video's protagonist in the wreckage of an upturned car, representing another crash in the road of her tumultuous life. She decides to once again pick up the pieces and venture forward even though she is all alone (or, perhaps, because of it). The cold, uneasy atmosphere alerts that this is probably not the first time our protagonist has found herself in this peculiar situation. Coming into a new town - which she wears "like a leather jacket" - our protagonist is greeted with a host of warning signs: empty streets, a newspaper with the screaming headline "CHAOS!", a lone buzzard in the air. She chooses to trudge on anyway just as she has done countless times before and will surely do again. Interestingly, it is a chance meeting with two young girls blowing bubbles on a sidewalk that gives our protagonist the most pause as she remembers she was once just like them: young, naive, full of hope at the wonderment of life's simple pleasures. In the end, however, it is only the vices of smoking and drinking that can satisfy our hollowed protagonist before she soon finds herself once again stuck at the crossroads of life, waiting for the next ride that will carry her down whichever road her vices decide to push her along next.
That is exactly what the video means ... I have one more* line in the song "sweet salvation on the dining room table... where the numb meets the lonley" I think you know... I wish I was the "lonely" one LOL [could be a drink too I think she meant but hey- I have an imagination hehe]
"All dressed up in a pretty black label" she's referring to Jack Daniels, sitting on the table. "It's gone before it ever melts the ice" This is a masterfully written song.
Love love Miranda Lambert she has the most Beautiful Voice ever! And I believe she is a good person! Can wait till she has more new songs out there! Thank You Miranda Lambert.

Her entire album is like this. I've never seen an artist get this raw and vulnerable. She's the real deal whether people give her credit for it or not!
This is the kind of country music that I miss!!! I’m so glad that the women of country are coming full force with raw, emotional, authentic feeling!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️
I had never been a huge fan of any artist.... I always liked different songs by different singers.. but I am rooting for Miranda and have become a HUGE fan of her... I think this song is so powerful... and expressive in so many ways.. We all go through life.. we all mistakes and have heartbreaks... I love how SHE stands in the middle of the crossroad after making her way through... I hope she was symbolically saying at the end that God has the wheel and she will always be OKAY!
This song touch deeply in the soul. Sometimes when we feel lost in life many things doesn´t make any sense but we still do the same mistakes again and again. This song is very intense and cruel but absolute beautuful at the same time. And Miranda Lambert got a powerfull and louder dimension to this masterpiece. I love this singer and her interpretation of all music she sings. You are one ofthe bests Miranda, great job. Kisses and God´s always bless you and your music.
This song is so powerful. It some ways it really relates to my life. I have lived all over the country (not by choice). My mother would find a new man and boom we were gone again. New faces, new school, new friends. So i really understand this. If my daughter remembers any singer or band i listen to i hope she will remember that this chick has a song that fits exactly. And that theres real meaning in her music not just words to sell records
@Miranda Lambert no unfortunately not. We work alot. And i just listen to music all day at work. And literally when i heard this song for the first time i had it on repeat all day. You are just a strong influence for women all over the world. You can actually relate to some many different ages of people and some that have really had it hard and its like u embrace that and sing the perfect song. Keep up the hard work!!!!!
This song resonates I have been running my whole life from all my problems & I can just relate, the numbing of the pain is temporary usually liquor & people, until I find myself off to do it all over again after I swear I wouldn’t but deep down knowing I’ll be gone to do it again, the lyrics hit. Just another vice…there’s always that one pain that gets you, hard to cover up.
This lady makes me proud to be a Texan traveled from east to west and north and south but they don't make them like her not only is she beautiful but my god what a talent
Salvation (church) where the numb meets the lonely. This is so true- numb religious people unappreciative of grace and then a lonely person comes with more appreciation of grace.
Beautiful song Miranda! What a beautiful woman, who carries herself with 1st class all the way, my favourite song so far of your's! May God Bless Your Life Miranda!
well at the time you posted this; she has the title of queen I reread your post yes I agree. We are from Texas and she is the queen there. Love her but LeAnne Womack?
This fits me in so many ways. Such a realization and a smack in the face all at once and I love it. Thank you Miranda you sing the song beautifully and it reflects so much I love all your music you completely Rock beautiful voice and beautiful person thank you
This is by far Miranda's BEST album ever!! Like, it's not even country to me, it's solid roots rock and the emotional rawness of the lyrics isn't just your typical pissed off blow up your tractor and use you as target practice she's known for. It cuts deeper, and rightfully so
The queen of country hits deep with this song. Sounds like she just laid it all out on the table with this one. The beginning gets me every time with the goosebumpies.
i'm from the philippines, we don't play a lot of modern country music over here, just never our thing i guess. carrie underwood is probably the closest thing we can get to liking country music. then i heard this song. i was changed. miranda's magic moved me.
Miranda shows in this song how a real woman deals with other people's evil. Could these be your addictions??? What was it like living alone in a house accompanied by a ghost?! Beautiful, Miranda. To the composers of the music and their direct and real interpretation, lots of applause!!! 🙏🏼👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Can't wait for your album as you always bring great music to the table. I can't count the many times, I turned your music on and instantly started singing along. It's the little things like turning a song on and then wanting to just dance and sing along. While having a great time in the moment. For that single moment, not a care or worry but getting lost in the meaning of the lyrics. Miranda was so great hearing you in concert at the keeper of the flame tour. You sounded amazing. My mom, me and a family friend all had amazing time that night, thanks to you, Gwen and your band. This is my all time favorite song Vice from you, along with the house that built me. You such an authentic and honest singer. I admire that about you that you keep it real as what you see is what you get. Keep making country music proud because your a blessing to country music. They got lucky to get such a talented gifted singer. Come to think of it, you won't find another Miranda Lambert in country music. She brings the difference factor into play. There's alot who sound country but each has their own distinct country voice. Take your time on the album, how ever much you need. Its not about just producing an album quickly just to get album out to the fans. It's more about putting the right album out there and putting the quality, time effort and heart, into the finish product. I think that's one worth ethic, your good at you put quality and time into your work of art and concerts. Great quality of work take time and I assure many that this album will be worth the wait and more. Ran Fans get ready for the most epic Miranda album yet. As they say, when it hurts this good you gotta play it twice. Or As I say when the albums sounds, so good you gotta play it million times.
My name is Miranda I’m 25 years old in Louisiana and when I say my name to boomers, it’s other “lambert” or “the Miranda right” and when I compared to Miranda I feel so delighted. Always respond with either “not as rich” or “not her voice, tho” but I’ve related to her since her first album. This song relates me to her 200% even more. Being human means not being perfect and learning from our conscience vices.
Miranda i love you so much , i am just a simple girl from Israel , wishing one day i could hug and hear you live here ,you made me fall in love with country music , i became so honest because of you , you are a real woman no bullshit , i admire you and your songs helps me get over so much things in my life , i never write comment in youtube , it is my first time i just wish you'll see it , love u !! dont ever stop be yourself ! you are my role model
I LOVE THIS SONG!! All we know for sure is this. Miranda and Blake have always tried to never spend more than two weeks apart. He ended up spending a lot of time in CA. He became a Mr. Hollywood. She flew there many times to be with him. He did not put in the effort to do the same for her. I have went back and watched season 7 of "THE VOICE" and Blake and Gwen were smitten with each other before divorce of either was even on the radar. Miranda was lonely! I'll end with this quote from Kahlil Gibran. "Of the good in you I can speak, but not of the evil. For what is evil but good tortured by its own hunger and thirst? Verily when good is hungry it seeks food even in dark caves, and when it thirsts it drinks even of dead waters."
In the beginning she shows her left hand a few times. What is the yellow thing she is putting in her purse? Is it a gun? Miranda's favorite color is pink. Gwen's favorite color is pink AND yellow. Miranda walks by two crosses on the side of the road. One of them has a yellow lei on it. I think the one earRING she takes off means something too.
Your delivery is spot on. Your verbratto is impeccable. Your runs are clear. And every little single noise your immaculate voice deluvers brings me to tears. I am so happy you're living your dream, your calling!
She is the Queen!! She has never pretended to be anyone but herself. No one has had a perfect past. We all have regrets.
Yes I agree no one has a perfect past even though we try but for some reasons we don’t ❤️🙏🏽♥️

Love it... just when you think she couldn't possibly do any better than her previous song... she knocks it out of the park....
Absolutely awesome! She Just gets better and better!
I agree 100 percent
Miranda you are beautiful, you are strong and you are amazing Keep the hits coming, I pay your songs every day to keep me strong and lift my spirits
I feel like this is one of her greatest songs honestly
Fire country anyone?
"Where the numb meets the lonely"....
God, I love the numb.
Carolyn Groff I do too, numbness is an addiction, a short ride minus the hurt and pain...
@@o.k.2854 you said that I don’t want you
This girl NEVER disappoints..
Yes all of the above! 40 days sober today...after my 3 month relapse. I had 19 months until then. Booze Sucks!! Hugs and love to all
Very Powerful video. Thank you for being vulnerable enough to share those tough feelings with your fans. I'm sure it was not easy.
This song was on repeat while I was spiraling out of control from anxiety and depression before I met the man that I call my home.
Beautiful and brilliant.
Sorrowful and heartfelt.
Best song she's ever done.
Bar none.
❤
Well said
Don't know where I am or how i got here
I am definitely not a country music fan. But this song is on my “favorites “ list. I find this song absolutely captivating.
Miranda you are an amazing woman. I'm so proud of you congratulations on one hell of a great music video.
This lady makes me proud to be a Texan traveled from east to west and north and south but they don't make them like her not only is she beautiful but my god what a talent
Thanks for your kind words....
I am blessed to have such a fan following keep calm and stay country 🤠
Bet you're truly a fan of me ?
How cathartic. Leaving the wreckage of your past. Simply beautiful.
Only to seek out another "crash" and wreakage....sad.
Salvation (church) where the numb meets the lonely. This is so true- numb religious people unappreciative of grace and then a lonely person comes with more appreciation of grace.
miranda did it again love this song
THANK YOU

Same👍🏻
ME 2!!!! LOVE..IT👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
This is by far Miranda's BEST album ever!!
She really is. The country queen.
months later and still just as touching and meaningful as the first time hearing it think I found the soundtrack to my life

Miranda Lambert she is country and a beautiful woman great song as always
i'm from the philippines, we don't play a lot of modern country music over here, just never our thing i guess. carrie underwood is probably the closest thing we can get to liking country music. then i heard this song. i was changed. miranda's magic moved me.
Miranda shows in this song how a real woman deals with other people's evil. Could these be your addictions??? What was it like living alone in a house accompanied by a ghost?! Beautiful, Miranda. To the composers of the music and their direct and real interpretation, lots of applause!!! 🙏🏼👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
your the bomb in country music. Keep it up and don't let nothing come between your great music.
this song deserves at least 100 million views!!!
Being human means not being perfect and learning from our conscience vices.
now this is a damn good song!!
Tammy Asbury great

...noy like Jesus Christ is
Just keep going Miranda. Your voice, your vices, your passion, your music. I have been feeling you for many years now.
Songs like this give such wonderlust.
Absolutely they do. 🪄❤❤❤
The yellow box she puts in her purse is her cigarettes
I honestly just love this song...I couldn’t count the number of times it crosses my mind. The best.
I love all of her music videos. They all have such a deep meaning. Love her music and her style. Of course she's beautiful too!
Your delivery is spot on. Your verbratto is impeccable. Your runs are clear. And every little single noise your immaculate voice deluvers brings me to tears. I am so happy you're living your dream, your calling!
"It's gone before it ever melts the ice." I love that line.
I remember being so shocked when this dropped. I couldn't stop listening to it
Love Miranda's music!
Fire Country 🔥 brought me here November 2024 🎵🎶
When it hurts this good you gotta play it twice. YES
Yikes!
That's one of the very best song-referential lines, ever written. It's a line for a true music-lover.
