TMY is so grateful that you're joining us in 2022, our 49th TMY! Please watch this training video prior to your TMY shift to be better prepared and know what to expect during our time together. We wanted to point out several new items in our footprint map, including our access features and use of language.
1. We have four accessibility drop off areas throughout festival grounds, located at Pennington St. and Scott Ave., Congress St. and Stone Ave., Alameda St. and Stone Ave. and Alameda St. and Church Ave. these are marked by the pink wheelchair logo on the map.
2. We have loaner wheelchairs at the TMY Info Tent; attendees can go to Info Tent and in exchange for an ID, can rent a wheelchair (red dot in the center of Jácome Plaza).
3. Please use inclusive language: Refer to disabled people as either "disabled" or "a person with a disability." Refer to those who use wheelchairs as "wheelchair-users." Refer to access features as "disability-related access." Do not use the word "special." If a disabled participant does not want assistance, please respect their decision and do not continue to offer. If festival attendees inquire or request disability access please refer them to Festival Information.
