Just read "Hidden Manifestation" by Oliver Mercer and I can’t believe it’s so underrated. Methods in this book are next level, it needs more attention!
I do a handful of yearly challenges (including pokethon!) and my focus for the rest of the year will be hitting those harder (for me) prompts. In total, I have about 27 books to read before the end of the year to succeed.
I didn't really set goals for myself this year because I don't wanna put pressure on a hobby I enjoy but I did set my goal for goodreads to 52 books and I surpassed that a long time ago (at 113 now) so I'm good. Will have the same goal for next year. The goal is actually to surpass that number because I like seeing the 100%+ on there (right now it's saying "217%... 71 books ahead of schedule" and I'm loving it!!!)
My only goals are Goodreads, which I always set at 48 because that's 4 books a month, which is my average, and I usually reach it around September/October (I'm now at 58). I don't want it to be a challenge, I just find it satisfying to see my progress. I also did a "24 books for 2024" in my journal, 15 of which I have read, and 2 more I know I will for sure get to because I own them.
My only tangible goal for the year was to read all the books on my TBR that I added to it in the longest ago year (i.e. in 2024 I'm reading all the books added in 2022) - I only have one left, which I should be able to get to later in November or December. And then in 2025 I'll be reading 2023 added books!
Hey Jade ! I saw that When Women were dragons is in your self-destruct tbr. It’s my favorite book of 2024 so I would really recommend reading this one !
I have 2 books left on my 24 in 24, but otherwise met my other reading goals I set at the start of the year. I did set some new goals in July to get my physical TBR down to 50, but as I’m currently at 65 and have both my birthday and Christmas coming up I doubt I’ll hit that one!
I set my goals for 90 books this year and now I’m behind. I still need 30 books but I began my masters program to become a librarian in August so there hasn’t been time to read as much. I’m hoping to pound out some short books in November and December.
haven't really focused on any of my priority reads. So don't think I will keep a list of priorities for next year. Might join you for The Grace of Kings in November though as it's on the list for this year. When it comes to reading in general I have reached all my goals except hours listened, but I am ahead on that one so no problem. Buying on the other hand.. I have a read 5 buy 3 system and at the moment I have bought 12 too many, but I plan to catch up by the end of the year.
My main goal for this year was to read down my subscription box books, I was supposed to read 20 and I've read 3 😭 (I guess I need to do a mini boxbox readathon or something)
Good Luck with your November TBR. I'm only reading 2 physical books right now that I am "taking my sweet time finishing" and just wanna finish them in November. I just started one of them a few days ago but need to get going because I am not reading it daily. The first book is even worse!! Don't even know how long I've been reading that one!!
Im very curious what you'll think of Starling House. I also have a weird experience with the author's books, some i love some i hate and Starling House is one i reeeeally didn't like
My goal is to read 20 books by the end of the year, I am at 17 books as of this week. I'm hoping I will achieve it, because November and December are crazy at work. I will also go on a book buying ban in January and have a token system. I will only will be able to buy books if: 1. I read 3 nonfiction books, 2. It is a sequel and I am 50% in the first/previous one.
Jade wishing you the very best of luck with your November tbr list hopefully you can get it done ✅ prayers and blessings for you and your family love ❤️ your Aussie family friend John xx can you please pray for my wife as she battles with dementia xx please help

Sorceress comes to call sounds so stinking good!
I'm also reading Starling House in november! I have it home from the library and it is the highest ranking on my current TBR.
I’m also reading Tales from the cafe in November!!! ❤

Happy reading x

I have a 24 in 2024 and have only gotten to 12 of them so far 😬 Really need to prioritise them in November and December!
You can do it, Jade. I believe in you!! 🥰

I keep putting off Grace of Kings for the exact same reason. Hope you’re able to get it checked off!

It’s not really possible for me to reach my reading goals at this point. My main goal now is just to enjoy reading.
