❤ I love you’re making Palestinian foods
When my husband made shatta with red chillies, I had to go to the other side of the house. My eyes would water and I would choke on the chilli VOCs in the air if I came anywhere near the kitchen. It was mighty powerful stuff. Like the Palestinian spirit I think. 🤗
❤️
💚🤍🖤
Hi Nadia, I made Shatta today. Brought light green wide bodied chillies...these are less fiery. Coriander instead of Parsley. The outcome is phenomenal. Family loved it. We consumed with home made yoghurt. Now it's sleeping in the Refrig 😉🙏
what you made is more a Pakistani or northern indian chutney, we make it all the time as a side condiment to have with yogurt and bbq meat, shatta uses parsley specifically, totally different flavour. But both gorgeous.
Thank you so much. I used to live in Kuwait and remember eating this in many restaurants. I really miss them and now you have shown how to make it perfectly. I'm so excited Thank you so much 🌺
In Mexico we crush using the molcajete made from volcanic rock it keeps the flavors sooooooo good and crushes so smooth lol
Green Shatta is elite!!! I love it more than the red one. I love it in a falafel or shawarma sandwich!
I made a mini chilli paste and left it for just an hour, and it had such an amazing powerful flavour, just a spoon transforms any dish. Will be making a big bowl now
this looks and sounds DELICIOUS!Some of the varied possibilities are :use green chilli paste on chicken sandwiches, cheese and tomato sandwiches, rub for BBQ meat, blend in yoghurt as an accompiment sauce.Make a dip for nachos ,use to spice up pizza, use for hot sauce in pasta.possibilities are endless it is a great recipe!👏 👏
Bet it is good with beans. Your personality really is the secret spice . Love your creativity and flair!
Completely unrelated to chilli paste but I wish I could rock a haircut like that and look that amazing.
YOU ABSOLUTELY COULD
@@NadiaGilbert hi I just discovered your channel, please keep posting
This stuff is the best multi use condiment ever. Making shawarma with this tonight using jalapeños from my garden. Basically just gonna be chicken, lavash, tomatoes and this.
I love all the different chili pastes from around the world. thanks for teaching me about a new one!
Amazing!!! Gonna try this very soon!! I actually made a coriander chutney with those green chillies, ginger, garlic, salt and lemon and very little mint. And yes you can add Yoghurt or Labneh to it too and eat it literally with anything. Its super yummy 😍 Thanks for this recipe!! Cant wait to try it! Love from Berlin x
Loveee shatta. My latest obsession has been tortilla chips + labneh + shatta or pickled jalapeños. I could eat that as my breakfast lunch and dinner to be honest. SO good and satisfying esp as a lover of spicy thangs. Love your videos girl, keep it up! Oh, and flying chili seeds is a REAL thing! 😳
Sahtein! Shatta in Labneh is such a gift... so so good. Thanks for watching!!
I just made this and I love it !!! Thanks for sharing.
Your videos are GREAT. I’m glad I found you. You have a new fan in me. Keep it up PLEASE.
greetings from Costa Rica, love your vegan recipes from Palestine.
Ok just made it! So excited!
It's a lot like green salsa. Interesting how so many different cultures have similar foods. Can't wait to try this recipe. 🤗
Oh man, I used to make this chutney a lot during summers, it is more pasty in texture, but i really love this texture too, I dry roast garlic and chillies and then pound them with salt and replace virgin olive oil with mustard oil. I love love love this dip/chutney/paste! Thank you for sharing this recipe, will try this too!
This is delish! I tried it with Labneh and it was amazing!
Thanks for sharing ❤️
Thanks for your energy
I'm going to go make this with all the extra hot peppers in my garden today! So excited!
Made that tonight... delicious.
I just made this and I’m in love with it. I used some mixed hot peppers I got from an Asian store. Dang good! Now to make your Ful! Love your plant based recipes. Thanks!
Just made this for the first time ever and tried it with labneh. Thank you so much for making me aware of shatta! I don't know what I've been doing my whole life without this
I love middle eastern food and hadn’t heard about this, I love spicy too. Thank you, just subscribed.
Enjoy watching your culinary videos; truly a blessing.
Wonderful recipe. I love it on ful medames among other things.
That looks awesome!! Perfect for chilli lovers ♥️♥️♥️ i will definitely be trying.
And hand beaten in a mortar is infinitely better than processed in a machine.
We have a similar chilli sauce in Pakistan, made with green chillies, mint, coriander, a little garlic and salt, We mix it into yogurt and use it as a dip.
Yum yum! I love that! something like this is great mixed into yogurt!
So happy to see another of your great videos! You made my day! Thanks so much!
Made it. Loved it. Finished it way faster than expected. Making it again. Thanks so much for the recipe dude!
I like the idea of adding it to yogurt. I’m definitely going to give this a try.
See? Now you have me feenin' all over again for homemade Palestinian tapenade i used to buy from a brother at a farmers' market years ago in long beach. That and the giant pita chips he'd also sell were treats - until I went back home and i've never found it again since. That special batch of tapenade must've been tomato-based because it was a juicey red in hue. If you have any takes on tapenade i would love to tune in. Saludos y salaams
Sometimes when I'm looking for something quick and easy, I make a very basic quesa dia by slicing some mozzarella and placing it on a flour tortilla in a skillet on low heat for a few minutes. Shatta goes great with this when I feel like kicking it up a bit. Waleed
Hi. Love that! I suggest also a recipe of TOUM! Would love that. Thanks!
Now Nadia - I find this is really really interesting. I have a couple of "near homicidal / murderous" chilli pastes each of which are difficult to use due to their intense burning characteristics - but - I love chilli. Serrano is my favourite. Thanks for sharing this recipe. Hugs from Melbourne. Hmm, A different Kitchen!
This is a whole new world for as as a brazilian, and it looks amazing (just for starters, pepper and yogurt??? I need to try that! 😅)
i can confirm that we germans dont have anything in regards to chili sauce up our sleve. the only stuff you get here are from many other cultures that imigrated :D my favorites are lao gan ma and gojuchan from china so far, but i will definitly give yours a try! sounds delicious!
Love the recipes Nadia! Gotta say the outfit was on fire before the chilis added heat. 🔥🔥🔥
Lovely to see that
We called chutney in Pakistan and it’s made with green chilli obviously and mint leaves & coriander and onion tomato garlic
Ooh yes yum! I love all the varieties of spicy chutneys!
I love your cooking and your talking❤
Hey first of all you're very interesting.
You explain your cooking so well that my mouth's watering.
And the last part you're look superb 😉
I swear so many different cultures have a take on this salsa verde-esque herb based sauce. Definitely making this! Reminds me of Schug!
many similarities to schug, yes :) love that too. Sahtein and let me know if you do anything different for yours~
Love watching your videos Nadia ❤️ I love middle eastern food. Love from India 🇮🇳
I've seen something similar but with coriander where it was mixed with cold leftover basic mashed potato and used as a sandwich filling. Some peanuts or peanut butter would probably make it even yummier.
Newly subscribed and loving this channel.
Love these videos! Great dishes and Sahtien is never boring!
garlic + green bird eye chilli + salt BOOM you got a sambel ijo it works so good with warm rice and fried baby tuna AKA ikan cue, love love love from Indonesia
I like your videos, keep up the good work .
Spicy is romantic! Oh, absolutely!! Thank you for amazing romantic recipe:)
Amazing for sharing the video I love your cooking
I'm going to ferment this and see how it taste after a few months. I grow all my own peppers here in North Carolina. You are hilarious :)
How did it turn out? I am curious because I have the same thought to try out!
I grow 4 different kinds of peppers but I ferment the Datil Pepper for about 8 weeks. It's a amazing hot pepper from Saint Augustine. The Spanish brought it over in the 1500's. Send me an address and I'll send you some. Here is my email...rob@mileawayhoney.com. Yea Im a bee keeper so I'll send ya some honey as well. It won't be for some time but it's worth the wait.
3 year update?
so glad I found you on youtube Nadia - great content and positive energy, love from Sydney AUS
This looks so good! I make cauliflower with sweet bbq sauce. But I love to add some hot sauce to it. I’d love to add some of this to it.

Good job my dear Nadia. Thank you for sharing tha shatta recipe with us💜
Well... one can always wear sunglasses while crushing the chili peppers. 😎🌶
yes but the real fun is in trying to avoid the flying seeds!
My love and I are going to make this today, and then we will make your Ful Mudammas recipe!
YUM!!! MY FAMILY CHOICE OF CHILLI DIP!! We just add tomatoes and LOTS of lemon 🍋 😉 😋
looks yummy, I am in Dearborn...I will go get some labne
Thank you for a lovely recipe (will try it!). You video came up at random. Love the presentation. Content. Awesome. Subscribed :)
Shatta seems to be same as what Kashmiri (Pakistani) called chutney ! My mum makes this and it's so Peng ! Mashallah
Also thank you for showing us how to make delish authentic Palestinian food, or sheikhs/imam Ra wasis Palestinian and I grew up eating the food but not being able to make it very well 😭🤣
I love Palestinian / Levantine shatta!
I think you will open your own middle eastern restaurant soon inshallah.. good luck in advanced nadia 😂
Dear never write insha together always write separate otherwise meaning is gonna be changed it’s in shaa Allah
@@1sharingworld Don't be silly. Both spellings signify the same sound, and thought. There is no one way to transliterate the Arabic word into English. The way he did it was reasonable: no one will misunderstand him.
@@KhubbaS dear don’t take me wrong I m trying to correct not to criticize...though we read both same way but in writing the meaning is totally changed ..the word insha is totally different in meaning than the word in shaa...hope you understand
West Asia
@@1sharingworld yes i heard this before, but it's not really, Don't worry :) a malaysia ustaz cleared this up

Holy cow.. now I’m hungry for shatta
Making this tonight.

shoukran nadia,
ana bamout fil shatta
bas bidoun soukkar! 💚❤🖤
I loved this!! Just made it, put it on my eggs and I’m obsessed! QUESTION: how long does it keep in the fridge?
Would love to try with falefel or tawuq sandwhich
I’d put it in my homemade coconut cream yogurt, yummy.
that sounds amazing.
Nice! An Indian dessert recipe 😋
In India we call this 'thecha' which originated from the state Maharashtra .
much like yemeni green zhug...countries have their variations on spicy condiments, as ng starts out saying...this one is regional too...
yes!
You should warn people.... If you eat too much, you might Shatta your pants! ;-P
lol too much
Love watching your videos , keep it up ! 😊🦋
Thanks so much! Happy to hear you enjoy!
HeHe, so funny! Steamed rice with ghee, with Shatta on top; with a side of roasted Poppadom or those Lulu's Crackers; with a glass or bottle of Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand. Attain Nirvana after meal!
Spicy is romantic!
Looks great. Do you have to keep it covered with oil in order for it to last for a long time in the fridge?
Yes the oil helps preserve it :)
Lecker!
I like your channel ! New subscriber here ;-)
You are the cat's meow! 😉👍
Sha66a with labneh is the best.
As an Indian I have always struggled with lack of serious spices in non Indian cuisines. But this channel makes me think that Palestinian cuisine might be spicy. Folks from Palestine, what is your equivalent of super spicy Lal Maas or Mutton ROjan Josh??
Reminds me a lot of chimichurri, shouldn't be hard to make!
Palestinian people are so awesome ❤️😘
We use Kale instead of the Parsley.....here in Japan :-)
You can blend it too.
be sure to have some ice cream after eating shatta - to cool things down when you visit the bathroom :)
If only cultures would unite and maintain peace to eat each other's food.
Stuff it inside white fish and bake the fish. Amazing results.
Thank you..
