This video was all over the place, I don't know if I was sick or what while recording it so hopefully I cut it together enough to make since. Almost didn't upload it but decided to anyway since I already recorded it. Maybe it'll help someone.

Hey man I was looking at your sonoma extreme front end build videos, was wondering if youll ever make an update on it, currently doing one myself. Awesome channel btw definitely getting a sub 😎

Thanks, but don't expect an update. I have all the parts except the front valance but I never got the chance to actually install them. At this point I will not be installing them since I am getting the truck ready to sell (will have some videos doing odds & ends on the truck to get ready to sell). Love the truck and like the fact it's in good shape with low milage but the 2.2L with the auto trans just doesn't do well. Super underpowered especially with the auto and my Ram with a Hemi gets better gas milage then the Sonoma. So that's why I bough the Toyota. Slightly more power then the Sonoma but most important is the Manual transmission, its also pretty awesome getting an average of 25 MPG with a 30 year old truck. If the Sonoma was a manual I probably would have never through about getting rid of it, the auto is a slog with that engine. But as it is, I just really wanted something with a manual and the Toyota pickups and 22-RE's are a really good platform.
I plan on keeping all the Xtreme body panels & brackets in case I get another S-series truck at some point down the road. Lots of time and money spent over a couple years to find all the parts I needed so don't plan to get rid of them anytime soon.

Is that column courtesy light harness on all of the 89-85 trucks, whether or not you actually had it on your steering column? Basically I’m asking if I changed my column plastic cover & the new one had a light, does the truck come wired for it, so you could plug it up?

I have not, I looked briefly a whole back and didn't really see much information on how to do that, anyplace I found were old forum post with missing pictures/links. I don't think it would be too difficult, I assume you could tap into the clutch switch circuit but I'd have to look though some wiring diagrams. I would love it add it though.

i have pulled a few switches from the junkyard with the pigtails the only issue i see is my truck is a 94 22re and does not have the connector for it whereas the 89-93 already had the connector its tied up ready to just plug and play@@DanielPace92

Hi Daniel, Where did you get the plastic clamshell column cover from? I am looking for Grey color non tilt version for my 1992 truck. Mine is all cracked now.

Good luck finding one, don’t think there is an aftermarket & Toyota discontinued it☹️

@mhayes22167 I found a Great used one on EBay that bolted right in but I also found newly manufactured reproductions out of Asia. I bought on and the quality was good but color was off. I color matched and painted it to match my interior and now I have a great backup.

Mine, just the plain grey one, no tilt or light, is impossible to find, if you have a link, PLEASE send it to me 🙏. I actually found one that will hold up, but it has the hole for the courtesy light for the ignition/key now I’m trying to figure out if I can get the light, is there a place to plug it up in the dash so it will work, basically they all wired whether they had it or not.?
Thank you very much for your information and help! Take care👍

@mhayes22167 Then you needed the same exact one that I bought on ebay. I can't post a link but Google "Steering Column Cover Gray FIT FOR Toyota Hilux Pickup 1989-1995 4Runner No Tilt" Seller is BuyNTryparts. Looks like they are $66
