As a new trainner from Papua New Guinea I am very happy to watch this video
I have found this video very helpful to myself.
There are so many other videos on sabre without any clear explanation thereby creating dilemma, but this is one of the best, I could understudy clearly the explanation, it was extremely helpful, thanks for making this.
The reason it is soooo confusing is that Sabre is a very "OLD School" terminal based system. As such things like something as simple as 2 spaces rather than 1 can affect the result. I was thinking about creating a video to explain how Sabre is actually structured to help with this issue. In todays web world the thought is everything is a "you must start here and you are done here process." where in sabre you can do (a,b,c,d,e,f,g,h,i,j,k), but can also do (k (which includes a,b,c) g (which has a,d,e,g) and j(which includes f,h,and i) and because all the pieces are complete the record is valid but the way your got there is completely different but may work better based on what you have and what you need)
This brings me back more than 10 years ago. I did enjoy my time working at the airport but the wages were crap, but this gave me the wits and courage to go earn my engineering degree and lucky for me I'm happier now than I was back then.
Happier is always a good path. I would have never entered the travel industry in m 20's if my goal was not to see the world. I knew ages ago that it was not about wages though some markets like mine (luxury niche market) do great. I've been to 60 countries. I don't know why anyone would be in this business if not for the passion to travel. I'm here on RUclips because we are switching to Sabre after 20 years on Apollo :)

I had been working for really long time in travel agency and never learn or use Sabre. Before it was for ticketing booking only (when I was working in the airlines) but now not anymore, Event Airlines changing the system to user friendly. I don't know why company still want to use this system and wasting money through training.

Unbelievable that airlines and travel industry still waste billions in training and time consuming in an antiquated system.
These systems should have been at least enveloped in user friendly format, instead of requiring hundreds of hours in memorizing command lines and codes.
If anyone wonder why calling an airline for a simple booking in change of flights takes 30 to 60 minutes, the answer is their system still is stuck in the 80’s.
Airlines should had gotten together and developed a user friendly system, it would had saved them trillions in customer service time and training.

LOL.... so funny. I have heard this all before... "Oh this should be part of a web page." You are only seeing the most basic parts of Sabre. the reason that it won't every be a full web page is due to the variations between carriers in MNL, TYO, SFO, LHR, BHR, LIM. Each ariline based on each of these cities has their own variation on their CRS (carrier Resource System) the airline or vendor system that talks with the GDS. It's is those variations that Sabre works with to reconcile the differences. Sorry, but a web page or any database of that magnitude that would work with all the different organizations, apply regulations from country to country and in many cases process this in seconds is beyond any GUI based system that I have ever encountered in 20 years. If they have a GUI it's only for basic requests and the knowledgeable users use the terminal system anyway because it gives them flexibility to submit requests that the GUI systems would require 80 hours of development per request and it still may not be right. Sabre has a GUI overlay but most will go back to native sabre because the GUI only handles certain items so you end up in Native sabre anyway.

I work on Sabre everyday, and yes, it's a nightmare! So many codes, and if any one of them are in the wrong order, you have to start again!
@@SunnyGirlFlorida it is but the magic and my smile you don't see is that aroldomontana doesn't know why we use this and what it does for the client and for the agency. That's not on RUclips. We have over 20 rate codes for different reasons and a website does not show any of the inside scoop we get to see for each flight and hotel.

Thats not possible you will need to get enrolled through your local office. In my country they provide free training please check with your local office

What if no fares are dispaying after entering command WP then comand WPNC ? What does that mean?

1- I checked the availability with command 1 date itinerary
2- i selected the class with command 0
3- I entered command WP it gaves me: ‡CODE - UC SEG STATUS NOT ALLOWED-0003‡
4- I entered command WPNC again same message: ‡CODE - UC SEG STATUS NOT ALLOWED-0003‡
Do you know the reason why it does not work?
+Letmeprotect.com you did all things ok except for one thing the classes you select have shown 0 avilable seats so the segment status become UC you need to select class which have seats
after you type the WPNCB¥RQ you should get a pq display or an error. Often the error is "no combinable fares found" in which case for economy seats key WCAY (will change All to Y) the top of the economy ladder. then run WPNCB¥RQ again if you get no combinable fares again then it may be different carriers that don't allow validation of the other carrier (IE: we don't work with that airline) which means the flights would need to be ticketed seperately.

Yes bro its very simple. For example if you want to check q class fare and there is no seat simply enter command 01q1gk this command wil help you to sell gk segment.

PCC is assigned by your local SABRE office while your boss / manager of travel agency set up your agent ID.

+Jobayed Nahin you can get non-ticketed I'd from any iata agent but tickets can only issued by iata agent
To have the title of "travel agent" you need an IATA or ARC ID. If you don't have either you may be considered a consultant. Some agencies will appoint individuals to work in conjunction with their agency. Often with some requirements that have to be met and agreements on how any debit memo's will be resolved.

Your connection settings are most likely not configured correctly. Unless you are on a company network with a dedicated link to sabre you should have VPN connection enabled.

+Saggish Ung you can't create it by your own. There is certain requirements for getting Sabre. You need to contact local sabre office.
