After the game Klose consoling the coach, Loew praising Brazil in the post game interview, saying they had a bad day and they are still one of the greatest teams. That's the difference between being merely a winner and being a true champion. I hope Brazil learned something that day.
I was at the World cup final 2002 in Yokohama, having gone to support Ireland ,We were with some German fans of course we wanted Germany to win European . As a German, it was one of the best days of my life. Germany was in top form that day and I think the brasilian players cracked mentally that from their pressure in their country. In the end Brasil will rebuilt and come back as a strong team

To watch these two titans at their best against each other is pure beauty to behold. Honestly speaking. Brazil was lucky reach to semi final. In round 16 Chile was better than Brazil. Same in quarter final, Columbia was better than Brazil. Without Thiago Silva, you got destroy by German. David Luiz cried after the match and said all I wanted to do is bring the happiness to Brazilian. But how many times you were out of position along with Marcelo? I was fortunate to watch my National Team live every game in 1994 and even after winning so many of my fellow Brazilians said it was an ugly win because of the penalty shoot out and none of the flair of 1970 or 1982. Then after we lost the final in 1998 to France so many in the media accused the National Team of selling the game! We don’t understand the pride Croatia had in their first World Cup as a nation reaching third place and later second place. So many nations would be proud to reach a quarter-final. That’s the weight of being the only nation with five stars on their jerseys. It’s all or nothing, and in our home soil we had two tragedies, 1950 and 7-1.

As an American, I remember watching that one live, it went from a pretty even match to THREE Mexican goals in under TEN MINUTES (my mother was in disbelief of what we were seeing on the TV). A well earned victory imho. Our beloved german team went through a lot of hardship on its way to the Championship. In 2006 as host loosing the semi´s 0:2 to Italy and in 2010 beeing bested 0:1 by spain again in the semi´s. In 2014 our team finally reached perfection, cultivated from hard learned lessons of defeat and failure.
It was sad, good that the coach of the German team told them to turn down the intensity, I got some friends telling me that some groups were calling the guys to rush to the Germans, even the security was seeing how bad this could have turned, glad that the Germans had class and respect while humbling the Brazilian team(that was one of our worst squads ever).

Honestly speaking. Brazil was lucky reach to semi final. In round 16 Chile was better than Brazil. Same in quarter final, Columbia was better than Brazil. Without Thiago Silva, you got destroy by German. David Luiz cried after the match and said all I wanted to do is bring the happiness to Brazilian. But how many times you were out of position along with Marcelo? Obviously no 1 challenged Scolari for his tactics and he didn't make any adjustments when German constantly pass thru the whole defensive line.
The loss of world class, star forward Neymar was a great loss too. He had dragged Brazil through the tournament before the game with Germany.
Neymar was unable to play, suffering fractured vertebrae as a result of being kneed in the back by Juan Zuniga during the prior game with Columbia.

..the real problem was Brazil had a very weak team, probably the worst ever to play a World Cup, though being the host they were helped all along the tournament to reach the semifinal where they finally faced a strong opponent and we saw the result.

As german fan from Kazakhstan since 1998, it is so sad to watch how german`s team lost their strong sides. I hope that our time will return next year, but i miss mentally strong players like Gerd Mueller, Kaizer Franz, Rummennige, Matthaus, Schweinschteiger, Lahm and many others of them. In actual generation only Kimmich is our hope.
Before every world cup, they play a documentary with the history of the competition so far. They mention the most memorable matches of different tournaments. This game will feature on those documentaries 100 years from now and beyond.

As an American, I remember watching that one live, it went from a pretty even match to THREE Mexican goals in under TEN MINUTES (my mother was in disbelief of what we were seeing on the TV). The 2014 World Cup was one for the ages. Triumph and heartache for so many nations, and probably some of the best athletes of all time.

A well earned victory imho. Our beloved german team went through a lot of hardship on its way to the Championship. In 2006 as host loosing the semi´s 0:2 to Italy and in 2010 beeing bested 0:1 by spain again in the semi´s. In 2014 our team finally reached perfection, cultivated from hard learned lessons of defeat and failure.

It was sad, good that the coach of the German team told them to turn down the intensity, I got some friends telling me that some groups were calling the guys to rush to the Germans, even the security was seeing how bad this could have turned, glad that the Germans had class and respect while humbling the Brazilian team(that was one of our worst squads ever).
