Some quick tips for anyone planning to build their first fpv drone: (1) dont cheap out on screwdrivers. (2) Always have some electrical and double sided tape, have zip ties and heat-shrink. (3) always use a smoke stopper when first plugging the battery in. Happy building!! (It’s gonna be a pain in the ass)
I don't think I've ever seen a more perfect video. Every aspect was on topic, orderly, enticing, and perfectly paced. You're going to go places quickly if you keep this up.
Great video, dude! I can totally relate. I did the v1 version of JB's kit as my first build, and it took me two months to complete. Mind you, I work a lot and I was just hacking away at it a few hours at a time. Getting friends and people in the community to help me troubleshoot issues and learn the configuration process. JB's videos are excellent, but I was running into an issue with bi-directional on the earlier version of his ESC. The soldering look like it had been done by a three-year-old with Parkinson's, and it magically enough it's still flew for about seven months, before I actually destroyed the ESC in a crash. I still have the frame and I think I'm going to keep it forever, but since then I've done six 5-inch builds, and probably two dozen micros. I'm absolutely in love with it now and spend a lot of my time helping new guys make wise purchasing decisions and get up in the air....this is the greatest hobby on the earth... welcome to it, and hope you stick around to make more of these excellent videos. ✌️
Dude thanks for such a wonderful comment! I agree. Best hobby in history. It’s so crazy for that first build that it flies at all. Also wow that’s a lot of quads!! I’m excited to keep going and making more content. I want to do a video on micros soon actually. Any recommendations?
@@wyatthumphreys that’s flowstate my friend, it just works, and leaves you in awe… that you actually pulled off something you could never even have consciously thought of or planned. The subconscious when properly wielded can accomplish such awesomeness! That expression of true self through flight is what keeps me doing freestyle, and what pushes me to help others so they themselves can experience it. Good luck with everything, and oh boy does it even get better, I can tell you that much!
Outstanding I'm 45 second year in the hobby tons of hours of Mr. Bardwell few BNF really been considering his kit. Thanks for the video I have those same fears very cool how well you embrace the fact it's going to get broke and it will need to be fixed!!! Thanks you motivated this guy!!!
very 1st video by a new fpv'er??? love it.....and love the editing and vlog style format. freestyle and racing edits are cool and all, but i wanna see more stuff like this. gonna be very interesting to watch you progress.
Very cool video. An extremely refreshing take on the RUclips FPV scene. I really liked the light-hearted up-front approach with your chill demeanor. I look forward to seeing some more! I'm subb'n ya bro!
Thanks for watching! In my next video I’ll be taking a look at the unbelievably fast iFlight Mach R5 and building a custom racetrack in real life! If thats something that interests you, be sure to subscribe!
Hey man, this video is really great! I love it how you kept it quick and to the point, how you explained everything and told your story! Subbed and can’t wait for more content! You just have to get passed the first few mistakes, and it becomes a lot easier and that is when the real fun starts😂!
Seriously accurate experience. Things don't go perfectly, things will end up in smoke, all good things will end in a crash. However, it makes that payoff so much sweeter! 👍
Wow das hat a good Video 😮 that can’t be your first though i mean it’s more professional than from RUclipsrs with millions of subs! Keep that great work up I think you’ve got the potential to get up there💪
Around 30 hours and all of that time was spent doing races in liftoff. Can’t recommend it enough! Especially the racing. It’s really hard and hones your skills faster even if you just want to freestyle.
@Wyatt Humphreys thanks for the reply, I have about 15 hrs in, mostly freestyle, I find it hard to race so far very hard to keep close to the ground and doing lines like you pointed out in your video. But it's winter here so I have plenty of time to keep practicing till summer lol
@@LukeRT oof glad youre looking at the positives of winter since there’s very few 😂 youll be a pro by summer. But yea sometimes racing is so hard its not even fun so I would set a timer on my phone and just do it for an hour like chores! Good luck!
Great job brother. Now next challenge is to put it in 3D mode and fly it up side down 1/2 the time. it's easy. spend 1 day in the sim practicing and then 1 day in the field and you will have it. at least thats how i learned. so much more you can do in 3D mode and still fly like normal when you want. Just make sure to set your radio sticks, spring loaded to center position, i have a video on that , it makes it so much easier. Within a month you will be flying like this. ruclips.net/video/WGt5azBq084/видео.html&ab_channel=3DPRINTING%2CMODELING%2CPAINTING%26FPVCLUB if you need any help on setup or what normal props work best just ask. Ok i just finished your video and you did amazing for someone new to this. im going to sub you and watch your progress. if i can ever be of any help just ask.
HOLD ON WHAT?????? I had no idea that is possible wow. I’m gonna do a whole video on this that is so exciting. I will definitely have questions. Do you have an Instagram I can DM?

True that

Built that thing myself. Soldering the Vista was horrifying
Bro yea the pads are like in a little cave 😂 at one point I bridged 3 pads. So rough
I was so freakin’ nervous I had to pause multiple times, because my hands started shaking 😂
Great material , just finishing my first drone and will see how many crash in month will takes :) Greetings from Poland
