As a collector I'm excited for the 200 card nostalgia pool. I was hoping they'd do a Legacy Rarity Collection like this! I want SDK Blue-Eyes, Time Wizard, Magician of Black Chaos, and MRD Kuriboh.
I'm holding out hope. Thing is, this could still be really good. If the main 78 card line up are all solid reprints and there are some chase cards that are at least somewhat relevant to my interest as a collector and rogue player, I may pick up a box. I'm pretty wary though, I think I'll probably just wait this one out and see. I bought 3 boxes of RC1, 2 wasn't bad but was disappointing enough that I didn't want to open more than a box of it. Hopefully, 3 is worth opening at least a box of, but I suspect a lot of it will depend on what's in that main set. I'm not very confident Konami won't screw it up, but time will tell.
The fact that Konami gave us zero of the 200 card nostalgia pool is concerning. That's 400 unique cards (200 that are printed in two unique rarities) that we know nothing about and that's nearly half of the master set that's exclusive to only 1 of 5 slots in every pack. 78 cards in the main set with 7 rarities means there are 546 unique cards. Have to factor in alt arts too, figure two cards will be printed in OG and Alt like in RA01 and RA02 both, so that brings the total unique cards to 560. Even if we assume that 25 cards out of the main set already have existing QCSR prints and won't have that rarity reprinted, that still brings the main set up to 535 unique cards, and with the nostalgia pool, that Quarter Century Bonanza full master set comes to 935 unique cards, which is outrageous imo.

Just because its the same premise as RC1 and RC2, and sure, it comes out in a 6-month interval just like the Rarity Collection sets, and just because Konami's greediness screwed up the Rarity Collection name, and just because its essentially the same type of product does NOT mean that this is a Rarity Collection set, nor even inspired by it. This is soooo not a Rarity Collection set that I would qualify this Bonanza set as a 360° turn on what a Rarity Collection set is. Yup yup yup.

They fixed their mistakes from RA02, adjusted msrp, and changed the name, it’s the same product. When they changed the name of battles of legend to brothers of legend and added starlight rares in the pack, did you also say that was not a or the battles of legend pack of the year as well? Help me understand what you see please.
The never ending cycle. The constant rarity bumps of well-performing cards in the OCG, along with side-set short-prints, there's always something coming down the pipeline to drain our wallets.
I hope so, but I thought something similar with RA02 and then they decided to give us cards like MST, Sol & Luna, T.G. Hyper Librarian and others that made zero sense. I'm hoping they give us Upstart Goblin in Quarter Century Bonanza since they didn't give it to us in RA02. 🙏🏻
@@SageKillahYGO The reason why RA02 was so weak in comparison is because it was released at nearly the same time as Battle of Legends Terminal Revenge which includes what felt like many of the missing QCR's from RA02
Honestly, the only QCR I'd want to see is an OG SDK Blue-eyes White Dragon artstyle in QCR. Followed by good reprints, mostly the engines like Horus, Diabellstar engines, Maybe another Thrust reprint etc. But if I'm being Realistic, we probably won't see that many good cards. The Diabellstar stuff maybe, but the others... Definitely not going to get my hopes up.
Oh my god. Some folks and I were just having this discussion on my Whatnot show prior to me uploading this video. We were talking about how Konami has chosen some odd arts for BEWD to give the QCSR prints and didn't choose SDK art or LOB art. I was so frustrated with this set announcement that it didn't dawn on me that this set is where they'll slip it in. I just really hope this set doesn't end up a flop like RA02. Sure, RA02 will probably appreciate pretty decently when supply is gone, but that's like anything else really.
@SageKillahYGO RA02, honestly, it wasn't too bad, definitely could have been better. But it definitely wasn't the worst set, it has some nice upgrades. I'm a branded player, so I liked the Cosmics, upgrades, deployments, and the Albaz, Despia upgrades. But I definitely think they could have put in some better cards, Thrust should have been one of the reprints. That alone would have made this set way better. As for the Blue-eyes OG art in QCR, I was hoping they'd put it in the tins, but this set now makes more sense, tbh lol with the way they worded everything lol 😆
Upstart Goblin was my big single that I was sure would be in RA02, but then they just didn't print it. The thing that prevented a lot of folks from opening RA02 was the inflated MSRP at double what RA01 was. And the fact that they didn't do single-pack blisters and only had it available in mini-boxes for $30 for 3 packs in retail really stopped a lot of impulse purchasing (speaking from personal experience). My local Walmart still has 3 full displays of the RA02 mini boxes. 😂
For sure! I'm hoping that they make some much-needed adjustments to box ratios. I feel that 2 Secrets per core set is really low since there are 10 Secrets per set. And Ultra Rares in Deck Building sets definitely need to be increased.

What people forget is that reprints essentially don’t matter and don’t make the game cheaper. You still will have to buy the new staples

That Diviner reprint had NO SENSE being in BLTR over RA02. For real!

Tin has horus cards, sp little Knight, Chaos angel, tactical thrust, dis Peter to Name a few
