I thought your video articulate and very informative - I do not however understand (if you are not replacing the screen to main body seal), why you had to disconnect and remove the screen along with the TAPTIC Engine. (Leaving these in place negates having to interfere/disturb 3 micro connectors for the screen and one for the TAPTIC Engine) I understand that removing the latter allows you to pull the battery tape out lengthwise, but so what? As you say, you can gently heat the reverse of the phone to soften the adhesive on the double sided battery tape and then pull them the tapes out sideways. I make this comment as changing batteries and screens on earlier iPhones, I can confirm that those multipin micro connectors do not like disturbing, irrespective of how carefully you handle them. Still a superb video though !!
Thanks. The main reason is so you don’t accidentally tear them if you had any sudden moves. If you could support the screen in such a way it doesn’t have any tension on the cables or connectors then it’d be ok.
+John Burkoton hi there I have a link in the video description below the video where you should be able to find one. I would look for OEM original if possible. The seller that I usually recommend for aftermarket doesn't have them available yet.

@@SmartEasyDIYer Thanks for the comeback - I'm going to try it ....!!!
You’re welcome good luck with it!
If i remplace the battery of My iPhone 7, My Touch ID would not Work anymore?
Just changing the battery shouldn’t affect Touch ID at all.
Where do you get good iPhone battery? So far every battery I got for iPhone was garbage.
It would not hold a charge or make the phone act up.
