It's called "carrot cake" because of the loose translation to English from dialect Hokkien of radish pastry". So yes, it's made from radish but it's called carrot cake.

It's not koay kak, is it? I always thought it was koay kak. Koay kak is not my favourite, though, Always felt char koay teow was better.

It is made from radish, which is also called white carrot in several Asian languages. It is made into a cake and steamed to cook, then cut into little pieces to fry with the ingredients that you see this video shows. Hence the name “carrot cake”.

如果他不调味就证明他囖卜糕有味道,如果他靠鸡蛋的味道的话我无言,现在好多夜市吃的囖卜糕好像jelly那样。
说实在的,我们的粿角是没有萝卜的。粿角是用米浆制成,自然需要调味。这个比较像粿角。
这是我们这里一种非常普遍的小吃。
配料-菜捕已经够味啦。。walao😅
