Omg, since last year my style has had a MAJOR upgrade. First of all, I realized I haven’t repeated an outfit to work since July because that’s when I started picking out a piece and asking “what haven’t I worn this with yet?” and I always come up with something different.
I’ve also been shopping for more unique pieces that are my staples (my everyday jeans are a corseted/laceup patchwork pair) and my cost per wear is STUNNING. My wardrobe has much more color and so much more LIFE. And I’ve learned to accessorize and recognize the “holes” in my wardrobe.
Tbh I feel like Barbie in that she dresses for where’s she’s going and what she’s doing. So basically, every day when I get dressed I’m slaying and the world feels like my runway and nobody can tell me ANYTHING 😁
And a big part of that is thanks to you! So yes, not to be dramatic Priska but you’ve changed my life ♥️

Your comment made my whole week! Thank youuuu! 🥰
I LOVE hearing how you've used my tips and made them your own. I've never considered a corseted/patchwork jeans, but they sounds amazing! You're more adventurous than me, but I want to branch out more this year.
Barbie is an inspiration for me, too! 🙌 She's the whole dang mood.

Thank you. It is very refreshing to see colors. Nearly everywhere is beige or muted colors. I love clear and bright colors. Black and white is fine as long as they enhance the brightness of the colors.

Yessss, you get it! 🙌 I still wear a bit of black as a background color. I wish I wore more white, but alas, I often end up staining it. 🙈

I went into working to what I thought would be business casual but a few months in I realized it was very casual. A lot of the pieces I can dress down with sneakers.
So this year my goal is adding color to some pieces, cropped wide leg, dresses. Updating my flats and finding a pair of kitten or low heels for everyday wear. A colorful slim sneaker to wear with my jeans.
On the shoes, I wore a lot of summer dresses last year I found a pair of Nike Blazers and I have a pair of white pumas. They don’t look chunky or like “keds/converse”. They add a bit of height but not chunky.

This sounds spot on! Literally all of it!! 🙌 I wish I could shop with you. I'm definitely going to add Blazers to my list for shopping soon. Thanks for that!

I love your jewel toned wardrobe and it suits you beautifully. But I’m a soft summer so I made peace with the pastels and enjoy giving them a bit of cool edge =)

Hi Priska! I'm feeling a change in my style too for 2024, I've always been super bold bright colors and now i want to try more feminine pastels (baby pink, sage greens, lavender) and I will use your tip about dark brown acc to ground them into being adult and not little kid. Thanks! Here's a tip that might help you, I finally finally found cute sneakers to wear with dresses (why is that so hard?!) at the Kate Spade outlet, they are white with a black spade on the side-cute, feminine, comfy! I'm moving away from structured pieces, the color black, and restrictive types of clothes (no spanx) and more into a softer almost ren faire vibe! Texas is starting to see bits of spring and I can't wait! Take care!

OMG do you mean renaissance fair?? Like flowy peasant skirts? Because I love that!!
We have a Kate Spade nearby, so I'll check out their sneakers. Thank you so much for your recommendation!! 🤗

Love this channel and follow you because I love using bold colors in my wardrobe.
I am 64, and for a quick minute, I was thinking about slowly switching to mostly neutrals.
But nope! I love the contrast of black and white and bold!
I feel similarly to you on most of what you covered in this video, but I differ from you in that I don't wear brown or gold anything (too muted) and I don't wear statement jewelry.
My husband has given me fine jewelry, and I find that it balances my bold colors so well.
I'm also hoping to learn new places to shop that offer these beautiful colors!
    Thank you!!!

Yeah, I totally get that! I've been wearing fine or semi-fine jewelry the past few years, and it's elevated my playful dresses a lot. And wearing a gift from your husband -- perfect, meaningful, and heart-warming. 🥹💕

It's from last year, purchased at COS. They don't repeat items, and it's sold out, but when their summer collection launches, it's a great place to browse for high quality pieces.

I was thinking of the same thing that I want to wear more statement earrings and necklaces. The bright blue looks great on you trully and burgundy and green and I agree darker pink looks better for you unless its the light pink top and those darker pants that looks really good too. I love watching your videos they inspire me to declutter and replace the items with the exact items that I wanted and not settle for what's available. I'm trying to replace some of my black items like my tops with more colorful ones.

I really liked this talk-through video, and I love that you will go more into statement jewellery. I have mentioned this before, but our styles are so so so similar (and we live in similar climates - while I am in South of Spain) and I loveeeee wearing statement necklaces and belts and earrings. I have been going with a lot of second hand pieces, old collections that are at a 20% of the initial price. Also, on what regards sneakers for dresses and skirts, I totally recommend the puma st runner v3. I have them in black, burgundy, green and pale pink. And they go soooo well with all my dresses and skirts. Maybe online you won't find them attractive, but try them in person, they are so comfortable while suiting the femenine style so well. I hope this helps.

This was so inspiring! Wonderful💓 I really like the tip to balance the floral dresses with dark brown accessories, I guess that would be a way of thinking for me also when it comes to wearing more than one bright, light or bold color😂

Since I am in a transient phase (pregnant, soon to be postpartum) I haven’t really been able to figure out my style for this year… I am soooo tired of these pregnancy clothes though, haha.
I really feel like leaning into my rugged feminine Bohemian / Southwestern style love. I am also leaning into less makeup- also knowing that I will have less time to do makeup so I have been practicing with more natural, bohemian-esque looks. Just a bit of concealer, mineral powder, touch of Butter Bronzer, Blush, Brows, using the same Bronzer and blush on my eyes.
I have been portioning out my wardrobe with pieces that I am looking forwards to wearing, and a lot of it is Bohemian and flowy and flattering for a postpartum body, but also colorful and Southwestern. I love seed bead jewelry and turquoise so I am incorporating that as well!

Found you yesterday and made three piles: love/keep, declutter and put in box for a month, and get rid off. Thank you!
What brand of sneakers do you buy? What are some of your favorite brands and places to shop? This is where I have the most difficulty. I know what I’m drawn to but not sure where to find pieces.

I don't have a particular brand of sneakers I'm drawn toward. I have wider feet, so just any that fit my foot shape well. As far as stores I shop, I've been digging Farm Rio, & Other Stories, and Free People for their natural fabrics in playful patterns. It took me years of wandering the mall and not finding much I really like before I started getting more influence from Pinterest/IG brands and browsing their websites. Pinterest is an easy search tool. Just type in your style words, and they'll even have suggestions to dig further into your aesthetic.
