As a lifetime Phillies fan, I can definitely say that Bryce Harper 100 percent holds a part in the hearts of every Phils fan. Awesome to see him do something like this after all he's been through. Go Phils!!
He's a huge part of why I like the Phils! Always Sunny, Bryce Harper, Trea Turner. In that order. The rest of the crew just solidifies it, great squad out in Philly!
He was annoying and (rightfully so) cocky when he was younger. He definitely matured a bit. I see a lot more love for him from other fanbases now for sure. @@SonicCollectionsPS2Noises
One I saw that ball bounce and get away from the center fielder, I knew Harper was going to go home. He is one of those that gives it his all no matter what. Let’s go Bryce!
@@richgumpert5190 I was there for the Chase Utley one and the Realmuto one. It's crazy. That wall is designed for inside the park home runs but it doesn't happen often.

Actually thanks for the win Phils because that allowed the cubs to pass up the giants in the wild card standings
All you have to do is use that left center field wall at CBP and get the right bounce for an inside the Parker. Reminiscent of JT's in last year's division series.
Dude you don't even know. I was there for the Realmuto one in the postseason and when he rounded third people were jumping up and down going ballistic. It was such an awesome moment. Everyone was completely locked into the game.
Errors have to be physical misplays, so the RF can't be charged with an error. The second part of the definition is that the play must be one that would be made with routine effort, and the carom pretty much takes care of that.
crazy how the Phillies seem to have perfected playing .400-.500 ball for three and half months then turn it on for the last two and a half and make the playoffs. seems to be a thing for them and surely other teams are taking notes.
Realmuto had an inside the park homer on a ball hit to the same place. Visiting teams do not recognize that the right fielder should sprint toward center on a drive like that in case it bounds away from that angle in the wall away from the center fielder.
I loved watching people hate this young man for the past 15 years...And, he's played for my team's division rivals the entire time. Just enjoy the journey of one of the last villains the MLB tried to market.
Randomly thinking what would it take for Giancarlo Stanton to hit 1...all 3 outfielders would have to collide and someone from the infield run to get the ball even then that might be a double for him 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Lol I feel like they tend to be pretty generous with giving out “inside-the-park HRs.” However, it’s clear from the replay that Bryce would’ve had AT LEAST 3 bags even if the center fielder didn’t mishandle the ball.
I remember the game but I do not remember if there was an error or not. Should have been a triple. The center-fielder bobbled and dropped the ball TWICE.
Not in this situation. A error is scored if it's the reason the runner takes an extra base, and they would obviously be out. You can't say he'd be obviously out at home if he didn't bobble it when the ball is 400 feet away.
@@SeerMagicX Thx for the reply--shouldn't it be scored a triple and an error then? Had he picked it up cleanly they would have a pretty good shot at getting him out at home?
Can stop for a moment and realize how damn fast he got home wow

Facts 💯
the center fielder bobbling it twice is what made it a "home run" instead of a triple. Frankly, it's a triple with a bobble error by the CF

I’ve been thinking the same thing
yea
Frankly the outfielders today are not focusing on the basics.
Outfielders lack fielding practice
That's what l was thinking.
THAT 409' PART OF THE OUTFIELD AT CBP IS INSIDE THE PARK HEAVEN... J.T. HIT HIS THERE AND A FEW OTHERS AS WELL! EPIC!
Chase utley too. Hit literally the same exact spot even if it bounced off a little different
That’s also where he hit his other in the park in 21

Underrated comment!
Harper’s gonna be one of those guys that people will regret they didn’t appreciate more in the moment.
Does anyone know if this counts as HR in the stats sheet?
the OF mishandled the ball twice. There's got to be at least one error there.
This is Manfred's world and we're all just living in it!
are you okay? it’s not an error ever for bobbling a ball in your hands off of the wall.
I was at the game and even if he didn’t make that error harper would have been safe at home
in no way is that an error, clearly you do not know baseball
and mental error on right fielder for not backing up the play
he bobbled it twice. that's an error Center Field...
This would have been a long single for Stanton.
It's 2:43am and I just laughed out loud at your comment 😂
I bet you if Wade Meckler hit that ball, they would score it a triple E8

Yes, and Chase Utley in 2009 and 2011. Same spot, same roll
What does the hand gesture the kid was doing at the end mean
Error by the outfielder…RF doesn’t backup CF…triple at best to whoever is scorekeeper
They don’t score errors anymore

I would still consider it a inside the park homerun. Although, it was an error. Most inside the park homeruns are an error.
Triple with E8. NOT an istp home run
That’s not how that works…you can’t deny someone a run…
I remember the game but I do not remember if there was an error or not. Should have been a triple. The center-fielder bobbled and dropped the ball TWICE.
Couldn't been a close play if the CF didn't bobble the ball 2 times trying to pick it up
