Just purchased the BT Volleybally Camera app and I have 2 suggestions. 1. More characters for the team name 2. The ability to adjust brightness while recording (used it this passed weekend and the footage was a little dark) Other than that, the app is amazing! Great job!
Hi @1ANN, thanks for your feedback. For longer team names, you can go to "Edit Settings/Misc", scroll down to "Experimental" section and choose yes for "Disable Abbreviate Team Names". As for brightness, we can look into this in a future release. At the moment, it may be the auto-exposure on the phone causing the darkness. Is there a bright light source on the ceiling or the background? If you point in a darker area of the court it may auto-expose and the brightness may be fixed.
I bought the BT Volleyball Camera app and also installed the BT Remote Control, and they are both very good. Congratulations! I only found two situations that I think could be improved. In the Android version, it is not possible to save to file and do livestream simultaneously. You have to choose one or the other. The other situation is that although it says that each team only has 2 timeouts per set, the app allows you to keep choosing more.
Hi @atletaassintomatico, thank you so much for your positive feedback, and as well your suggestions. Yes Android eventually we will be putting in Livestream and Recording to File simultaneously, we need to test this feature further as it was having some issues before. Regarding timeouts, thank you and we'll note your feedback. The ability to call timeouts even if a team runs out was carried over from our basketball apps, where in certain rulesets teams are able to do this at the cost of a technical foul. We were thinking to let it be up to the users how they would like to handle that situation and still allow that flexibility. Feel free to reach out anytime with further feedback. We are also available at support@basketballtemple.com. Thank you!
Hi @atletaassintomatico, Livestream & Record to File at the same time is now available in version 5.1.2. You will have to enable it in the Experimental settings though. To do that go to 'Edit Settings', 'Misc' tab, and scroll all the way down to the 'Experimental' section. Choose 'Yes' for 'Enable Livestream & Record to File'. Please let us know how the feature works for you.
Hello. Congratulations on your work. I'm looking for an app like this to stream my team's games and I would like to test the app before buying it, to make sure it does everything I want it to do. Do you have a trial version? Thanks.
Thank you @tigas19. Sorry we don't have a trial version at the moment but you may buy and return within a 24-48 hour time window if you don't like. Please check the Google, Apple refund policy. You may also download the remote controller for free, which allows you to try the volleyball features.
Thank you very much. I have already installed the remote control app and it is very good, so I will certainly buy the camera app. Keep up the great work.@@basketballtemple
hi guys. i’m new to sports recording. my oldest daughter is starting her path into club volleyball season. i wanted to ask, what’s a good setup for me to record/ livestream, moreso record for future video resumes. can i use an ipad or iphone as a camera? would that mean i need data service (cellphone signal) for the camera? and use any iphone as a remote/ controller? thank you in advance
Hi @MACNTOSFAM ! It's a fairly simple setup, just download the "BT Volleyball Camera" app onto a phone or tablet. From there you can start recording immediately to a file and share the file as you please. You can control the score directly within the camera app with the on-screen controls, or you can remotely control it with the "BT Volleyball Controller" app on any other device such as an Android phone or iPhone. The app connects via Bluetooth or a WiFi network, and does not use any data unless you wish to Livestream to social media.
@ thanks guys. i see. if i choose to use 2 devices, 1 to record or stream & another to control all i need is a bluetooth connection to both devices together? i’ll give that a try! and yes, i’ll check out the app. how old is the BT volleyball app? new?
@@MACNTOSFAM yes all you need is bluetooth. You may want to test the bluetooth before an actual game to make sure it runs smoothly. BT Volleyball is about 1 year old, but it is based on our BT Basketball technologies that have been around for 5 years!
