I’m enjoying you guys go down the rabbit hole. It’s refreshing when I see people see what I see, or hear what I hear in the same regard. I think I saw something about Chinchilla being on The Voice UK? I’m not 100%, but she’s an independent artist as well. Ren and Chinchilla shared the same management or label, I can’t remember which and both decided to go independent. Now they’re blowing up. Good stuff. I think their whole catalogs are worth watching, so I stopped giving suggestions. It’s all good. I do like their Drunken Love busking video.

So I have anxiety and that is exactly how it is. No friends because what if they suck, cant go any where because what if something happens? So to minimize that feeling, I stay in my room, venturing out in the living room to clean and stuff. I keep my guy at arms distance because he is human right and we are full of faults and because i do these things i feel safe but that is just my mind talking, but it is super loud. So I take meds to lessen that voice but I still stay in my room because what if i only feel like they, are working but if a situation comes up and they aren't. Ren and Chinchilla did a great job explaining what it feels like.
So much this! I can't get on a bus because of the fear of maybe having a panic attack and having to get off the bus and wait 2 hours for the return bus to get back home. The anxiety of that possibility, increases my base level of anxiety, making the possibility of a panic attack more likely. Which increases the anxiety... Etc. I would point out to these reactors though - "scared of being OK" for Ren in this song, is because after the decade of health issues he's dealt with, there is always the possibility of his Lyme's disease rebounding and making him extremely ill again. Now from a more generic point of view, whether it's people like me and OP with anxiety or someone with a chronic illness - scared of being OK, can be because when the condition deteriorates - it can be much harder to deal with, because you've had a glimpse of what it feels like to be "ok". At least if you just have a prolonged period of not being ok, it's harder to remember what being OK feels like.
This might mean nothing to you but I know the Feeling. The Best way in my Opinion to deal with it by taking your time for self awareness. Find the deep rooted issue that caused you to feel this way and focus on yourself. People around you (Family or Friends) don’t live your Life. What they say don’t mean nothing because only you know yourself. You have been with yourself and thoughts your entire life. There is no Meds or Humans that can get you back on track. It’s all on you. You can’t stop the thoughts created from Anxiety because your mind has no breaks but it’s up to you to direct it to the direction you want it. If you just work of compulsive feelings you will never be conscious of the actual truth. Try to tap into your awareness and realize that your life is a gift and not a struggle you have to go through. God Bless you and keep your chin up. You got this. Peace and more Power to you.

"I'm scared of being okay cause all things change." Suffering from mental health illnesses is exactly that - especially if you're in therapy and on meds. Things still suck, but the idea of getting healthy->getting sick again->having to start all over is terrifying and overwhelming. It really feels like your balancing on your toes to breathe.
