I own the 365 and a couple of other Micro's. I had zero intention of buying another gun. I have too many as it is. But after meeting a group of friends at my Local Club and testing this gun, I fell in love with it! This gun has a great feel and balance and the position of the offhand gives more real Estate than my Sig. I love the Trigger for EDC. Mine is about 5.6-5.8 with a lymal digital. Put a Night Fusion sight on it. I also ordered the receiver with the Optics cut for $149.00. Man, Taurus really hit a home run with this gun. Thanks for the great review! Folks YA got to shoot! You will be impressed. Love Stainless steel chassis. Total quality, SOLID!
Very good video, I'm Brazilian and with all due respect I envy you Americans, access to weapons is very different in our country. Regarding the Gx4 pistol, it was released a short time ago here, people liking it a lot, but different from there, prices sometimes out of the reality of many Brazilians...
I just bought my GX4 ($345) and I can not be any happier with my purchase! Straight out of the box and it grouped flawlessly! It does favor low left but a tight grouping. A lil adjusting and it should be just fine! Very lil snap in the recoil. This is my 3rd Taurus...PT 24/7 G2, G2C, and GX4! I may be a lil biased tho...I am a Taurus so...😀
Great gun imo. I have put around 1000 rounds through it and have had no malfunctioning even with cheap ammo (cleaning after every range visit). I have been carrying concealed at 3 o'clock for about a year. Size wize and comfort is fine as long as you have a good sturdy belt for support. I highly reccomend getting either the pinky extensions or the +2 extension for the clips. The pinky support makes a world of difference for recoil control.
The take down is one of my favorite parts about mine, I’m not usually out in the field under gun fire. So needing the tool isn’t an issue, and it’s kinda fun. One turn for a whole take down and put together is a dream for me brother!
Hunt Fish Shoot I see other bigger channels like honest outlaw and Hickok 45 that say that we were slow and their guns since you're kind of a new channel starting out it might help you out somebody had some cool guns to let you review. I'm not sure how to go about it either though.
I sold mine and needed some cash at the time. But 1k rounds through mine 2 malfunctions shooting cheap ammo. This and the original shield are by far my 2 favorite carry pistols i ever had and regret getting rid of. Extremely nice pistol and that trigger feels like a heavier 2 stage ar trigger imo freaking amazing pistol. I wish the aftermarket support was better but other than that a great pistol for sure and a great price!
I bought my GX4 after several years of being happy with my PT111G2. I've had it a couple of weeks. So far I have bought a focus holster, the Extraction series which is an OWB and IWB convertible holster....and magazines extensions to give me a longer grip. Very happy with the pistol, the holster and the mag extensions.
Honesty, once you upgrade the sights as you said this gun is pretty much perfect for its intended purpose even when compared to other more expensive handguns in micro-c
Yeah I don’t like blacked out back sights makes it hard to line up shots in a pinch, I’d be happy with standard dots, but yeah plan to change mines soon but not a rush

Ever since Taurus got a new CEO couple years ago they have really up their game. I purchased their G3C and I thoroughly like it A lot. I will probably get this gun When it becomes optic ready might have to pay a little bit more but it still beats out a lot of other companies.
I just bought one of these today, new, for $279.00 + tax. I haven't fired it yet, but after watching this video, I'm impressed. Since this video is about a year old hopefully any bugs have been worked out. I currently carry a Sig P365, and I've had one malfunction with it (failure to fire), but the gun wasn't broken in it was brand new. This will be my fourth Taurus, and there are no issues with any of them. Nice video and nice shooting!
A lot of folks bag on Taurus but I’m a fan. I pass over the Hellcat, XDS, and a P365 in my safe and clip the GX4 to my waistband probably 5 days out of 7 and have no regrets. There are other firearms that I prefer aesthetically or even enjoy shooting more but I don’t want a “show gun” for every day carry. This gun is perfect for edc.
I sold my Taurus .357 Magnum snubnose to buy the GX4. I have fired a total of approximately 500 rounds through it and so far, I have not had a single malfunction of any kind. I am very happy with it and will be carrying that as my edc.
The second I saw this gun I had to have it, had my eyes on a Hellcat or 365 but when this came out I forgot about them…Love mines and a 13 rd mag is a must have!!
I’m a Hellcat and 365 owner and like them both equally for different reasons. When I got the GX4 I was skeptical but i honestly liked it and it shot very well

Really like my gx4 , only had one problem with it , mag release would fall out , but Taurus fixed it and have had no other issues with it , it's my main carry pistol .
This was dope I like how you broke it down then ran it back again with more aggression to show it in a different point of view best video for the #GX4 I’ve seen so far #awesome and I think they should have more rounds far as for it also because after the 13+2 it’s nothing but drums and I don’t want a dry for this gun yet
I have the Smith and Wesson SD9VE as my everyday carry, I carry iwb at about the 2 o'clock position and I absolutely love it BUT, it's a tad bit long and it either digs into my pelvic bone and/or pushes up on my muffin top (my belly that hangs over my belt) !! I am very interested in this little shooter ! Thank you Sir for a great review !!!

A local gun shop is having these on sale for $260 on Black Friday and I am definitely considering buying one. There is also a $50 rebate from Taurus bringing the price down to $210. (Of course sales tax will be added to the $260 price). I have watched DOZENS of videos and read a zillion reviews before making up my mind to buy this weapon. What cracks me up the most is the people bitching that it doesn't support optics. The people that complain don't understand the purpose of this pistol and/or have played way too many video games.
It’s a specific model with the entire purpose. You want my overall opinion of the SAS? I think it’s dumb and slick idea for Sig to make money on a gun by selling people some crap they don’t need.

I carry my CR920 WP... but damn if this isn't one of the best shooting micro nines I've ever shot and it definitely is .. GREAT TRIGGER ... I would choose it over every micro nine.... except my CR920 but shoots as good as good as it ... great great gun for the price, it literally can't be beat ..

Needing a pocket pistol, I am going to buy a GX4 soon. I have been carrying a Kimber R7 Mako, but with a Holosun Green dot, it will no longer fit my pocket. Boraii makes a very nice pocket holster that I have for the Mako. I will order one for the Taurus.
Great review.. price point will be hard to beat. Taurus offers a 13 round mag also but I've not seen a review trying out the 13 rounder. Intrested to see after 500 plus rounds how it holds up. I think it's interesting the Taurus GX4, S&W Shield & Ruger Max 9 don't offer a rail, using a Olight mini would be great for night carry. I think it should be an option for gun owners. Again great work.
A lot of it is restricted to LE sales only, which is how I came about getting some for myself. Hornady Critical Duty is very similar and usually more obtainable. The biggest difference you see with Ranger ammo in general, is it’s retention and penetration through barriers ie. car doors and glass. It’s a little hotter too.
I liked and subscribed! Really liked your review and concerned about misfire! There was a video on You Tube Taurus GX4 Trigger Problems - Not Click Bait! This guy was firing with his brand new GX4 and had been firing at range. At some point when he squeezed the trigger it didn’t go bang! He didn’t clear the weapon and was attempting to holster it! His finger was not on the trigger and it fired! He missed his big toe by two inches! Scared the heck out of him! He mentioned some issue with his take down screw and it would actually turn 360! Make long story short it appears some other GX4 owners were having some issues and contacted Taurus! I am not expert but you might better understand what the problem might be with GX4!
If you have taken the gun apart like I have . You will understand that the take down Barrel WILL ROTATE 360 this is so when the chassis is removed from the frame. When reinstalling the the take down barrel because of the cuts in the barrel to reseat the spring that holds it in place. I am a firm believer that some people need to take the gun completely apart to see how it functions and works. From what is being said if he had an issue. He Should have not reholstered the fire arm but ejected the round. Before I fire any of my new Weapon's i tear them down completely. Ok so Taurus has been contacted. Maybe just like Sig was contacted. Or Glock or any other manufacturer. When a new product comes out.
@@alfredscuderi234 If you review his video he mentions that the take down screw turns 360 and guide rod comes slightly out while the slide is in its normal locked position! This fellow myself included don’t have the expertise to figure out what’s happening. I have a couple of Taurus and enjoy shooting them ! Not knocking Taurus as I would like to get the GX4 myself!
That’s what people keep saying in regards to the takedown lever, and if I’m being frank that’s a BS excuse. The take down lever needs to be there, not only does it make it easier to strip, it’s also a point of contact which can be used for recoil management.
I have issues with failure to feed. I believe the extractor pin is retaining the round too tightly. Any advice?.. yes, polished the ramp, cleaned, etc..
Thank you for your honest review. I just got one and went to the range yesterday. I got dead trigger issue many times. Trigger did not reset after the shot went bang. Have you enter that issue ? Thanks

I have one of theae and it is nice. The Glock sights are not quite 100% compatible -- depending. I got some Glock 43 sights the rear sights are a little bit to long and hang off the end of the slide by a few mm

@@E52O4 My comment was made 1 year ago and things change from time to time. It pays to shop around. A local big box store has it for $513 including tax. They don't charge an FFL fee for firearms purchased in-store or online special orders purchased from them. In addition and for a limited time, they're giving a $50 gift card with purchase, making the deal even sweeter. My whole point is, shop around.
I just got a GX4 and haven't fired it yet other than dry fire but right off know the trigger has got to be lighter also the area inside the trigger guard is really tight and my finger is actually squeezed in and upon releasing the trigger it rubs and pinches under the very short trigger between it and the guard , maybe this want be a real issue for me , I'll know soon .
LOL...the Taurus is .08 inches thicker (don't be fooled by comparing them from the back), .1 inches taller and .7 ounces heavier...but holds 1 more round than the 365. Currently the Taurus is about half the price of the P365. Lots of other people CAN and do turn the takedown 'lever" with a spent shell.
And the takedown lever not being there and needing to use anything to turn it, is a poor design, could just do it like Glock with a pull down lever that’s slimmer and smaller than anyone else’s?!??!? 😱😱😱😱😱

Agree with regard to the recoil - I expected a more severe feel. Nope. In fact, I prefer it to my G19.

I love mine. It has supplanted my P365XL as my concealed carry at work gun. The only mod I'm considering is putting an Ameriglo sight on the front.

In retrospect, triggers can be subjective at a certain level or feel as well. Keep that in mind!

I carry my CR920 WP... but damn if this isn't one of the best shooting micro nines I've ever shot and it definitely is .. GREAT TRIGGER ... I would choose it over every micro nine.... except my CR920 but shoots as good as good as it ... great great gun for the price, it literally can't be beat ..

Before I go to work I'm going to go pick one up at top guns I seen you and I've seen hickok45 doing a lot of good videos and I really want to get this new gx4 I have the g2c but I have small hands and I would like a smaller compact nine really like this gun so far cannot wait to buy it for myself and take it to the range buddy
Needing a pocket pistol, I am going to buy a GX4 soon. I have been carrying a Kimber R7 Mako, but with a Holosun Green dot, it will no longer fit my pocket. Boraii makes a very nice pocket holster that I have for the Mako. I will order one for the Taurus.

Great review.. price point will be hard to beat. Taurus offers a 13 round mag also but I've not seen a review trying out the 13 rounder. Intrested to see after 500 plus rounds how it holds up. I think it's interesting the Taurus GX4, S&W Shield & Ruger Max 9 don't offer a rail, using a Olight mini would be great for night carry. I think it should be an option for gun owners. Again great work.

The Taurus Spectrum and the Beretta APX Carry has the same take down. It makes it slimmer.

Great review. Where can I buy Winchester Ranger T ammo?
A lot of it is restricted to LE sales only, which is how I came about getting some for myself. Hornady Critical Duty is very similar and usually more obtainable. The biggest difference you see with Ranger ammo in general, is it’s retention and penetration through barriers ie. car doors and glass. It’s a little hotter too.

I liked and subscribed! Really liked your review and concerned about misfire! There was a video on You Tube Taurus GX4 Trigger Problems - Not Click Bait! This guy was firing with his brand new GX4 and had been firing at range. At some point when he squeezed the trigger it didn’t go bang! He didn’t clear the weapon and was attempting to holster it! His finger was not on the trigger and it fired! He missed his big toe by two inches! Scared the heck out of him! He mentioned some issue with his take down screw and it would actually turn 360! Make long story short it appears some other GX4 owners were having some issues and contacted Taurus! I am not expert but you might better understand what the problem might be with GX4!

If you have taken the gun apart like I have . You will understand that the take down Barrel WILL ROTATE 360 this is so when the chassis is removed from the frame. When reinstalling the the take down barrel because of the cuts in the barrel to reseat the spring that holds it in place. I am a firm believer that some people need to take the gun completely apart to see how it functions and works. From what is being said if he had an issue. He Should have not reholstered the fire arm but ejected the round. Before I fire any of my new Weapon's i tear them down completely. Ok so Taurus has been contacted. Maybe just like Sig was contacted. Or Glock or any other manufacturer. When a new product comes out.
@@alfredscuderi234 If you review his video he mentions that the take down screw turns 360 and guide rod comes slightly out while the slide is in its normal locked position! This fellow myself included don’t have the expertise to figure out what’s happening. I have a couple of Taurus and enjoy shooting them ! Not knocking Taurus as I would like to get the GX4 myself!
If you remember, the Beretta Nano was very similar with the takedown.

Thanks for review. I like it. For reference the Ruger max 9 had a take down pin, no lever. I assume this was done to keep the side clutter free?
That’s what people keep saying in regards to the takedown lever, and if I’m being frank that’s a BS excuse. The take down lever needs to be there, not only does it make it easier to strip, it’s also a point of contact which can be used for recoil management.
I have issues with failure to feed. I believe the extractor pin is retaining the round too tightly. Any advice?.. yes, polished the ramp, cleaned, etc..

No we haven’t had any issues. We are already in about 200 rounds total. It’s been great frankly, and I am truly impressed.
I Have watched every review , and I Have not seen 1 review that Mentions a trigger issue , please clarify, what kind of issue , and who did the review? I also own one and Have about 300 rds through it , shoots very good ,

I have one of theae and it is nice. The Glock sights are not quite 100% compatible -- depending. I got some Glock 43 sights the rear sights are a little bit to long and hang off the end of the slide by a few mm

How is the recoil on this gun compared to the hellcat?
They are very similar
how do you compare this to the g3c? I like the lighter weight but worry about the heavier trigger pull, plus I'd have to get the mag extension.
I would pick this over a G3C all the time

@@E52O4 My comment was made 1 year ago and things change from time to time. It pays to shop around. A local big box store has it for $513 including tax. They don't charge an FFL fee for firearms purchased in-store or online special orders purchased from them. In addition and for a limited time, they're giving a $50 gift card with purchase, making the deal even sweeter. My whole point is, shop around.

I believe it is reliable enough and I can’t say it’s been any less reliable than my P365.

Did you have an issue with the front sight getting loose?
No but I have had Glock pistols do that before. It’s the same style, apply loctite and then retighten.
Palmetto State had them on sale for$299.
Got mine at a local gun store for $269 yesterday. Too good of a deal to pass up for sure.

I just got a GX4 and haven't fired it yet other than dry fire but right off know the trigger has got to be lighter also the area inside the trigger guard is really tight and my finger is actually squeezed in and upon releasing the trigger it rubs and pinches under the very short trigger between it and the guard , maybe this want be a real issue for me , I'll know soon .
I didn’t experience that at all for myself nor did the other three of us who shot it that day. But it’s possible in any gun, just have to shoot it!

LOL...the Taurus is .08 inches thicker (don't be fooled by comparing them from the back), .1 inches taller and .7 ounces heavier...but holds 1 more round than the 365. Currently the Taurus is about half the price of the P365. Lots of other people CAN and do turn the takedown 'lever" with a spent shell.
And the takedown lever not being there and needing to use anything to turn it, is a poor design, could just do it like Glock with a pull down lever that’s slimmer and smaller than anyone else’s?!??!? 😱😱😱😱😱
Maybe they could’ve gone with similar design as TX22 for takedown. I like it a lot, and it wouldn’t take away from the “slick” sides on the GX4.

I have not held a GX4 yet, but I will soon. I believe there should be a takedown lever, but I'd surmise Taurus left if off simple to keep the gun "flush" since it's meant to be as "micro" as possible. Wahi' Valleys
