  • This is one of the weirdest approaches to chipping but you honestly won't believe how solid you hit your wedges with this coin drill, it is one of the most weirdest approaches to chipping you will have seen but the results are unbelievable. You will get solid contact every single time by following this coin drill.
You will finally get the solid contact you have been looking for and make pure contact the chip shots. Chip shots around the green with wedges are difficult to achieve. You won't believe how easy this makes chip shots around the green, so please before chipping onto the green follow this drill and you will notice a huge difference.
This simple golf lesson by Top 50 world coach Alex Elliott Golf goes through hand movement with your wedges, the coin drill and the control zone, where you would be hitting shots off the fairway, semi-rough and rough.
This golf lesson is really important so please watch all the way through and share with your fellow golf friends!
If are looking to improve your shots around the green highly recommend watching these 2 videos.

An excellent chipping lesson Alex! At times, my hands do get too far forward in the set up and I'm sure that my blade is at twelve o'clock instead of one o'clock! So, I will definitely be paying more attention in the future! Well Done Alex!

Great tip. I learned to open the face for these chips a while ago and it works. Would you use this same technique when having an extreme downhill lie in the green side rough? I had to use that stabbing motion for a shot I described but, I had a small tree trunk in my swing path so I had to do something without a finish. Made the shot but, still had about a 12 ft putt.

I tried this yesterday and the results were amazing. Opening the club made my 50 degree act more like a lob wedge and the one hop stop was great. I’m a 18 handicap and shot 83 yesterday using this technique. Just amazed.

Totally agree with slightly opening your wedge to use the bounce and brush the grass. It works. Even a tad fat still works, but if square it will dig in.

Hi Alex, I've always loved your videos but I really don't like this new approach of the black and white preview of what's to come; it's just annoying! We've already committed to watching the video by clicking on it; there's no need to sell it any more - it just gets in our way! Otherwise, great stuff and really helping 🙂
