*Fun fact* - The shoot for this video took way longer than expected, and everybody was getting bored, so Siobhan (the second female performer) went for a wander within the town, found a bar and got absolutely smashed on vodka. When she showed up to do her part she could barely stand up, but they went with it and the result was brilliantly and hilariously over the top.
Emotion aside, it was just great to see a reaction first listen video that wasn't constantly interrupted so the host could listen to their own voice. Thank you.
One of the best songs of all time. Marcella is a natural power with her voice, Siobhan is a natural power with her looks and acting. Love em since the 90's.
Your reaction to this song is just beautiful and perfect. No words needed. I heard the song many times when it was first released and loved it. But when I saw the video, I was completely stunned. I remember just staring into space, lost in my feelings. Thank you for your reaction and your raw emotional honesty.
This is the first real music reaction I've seen. "Chixy" gave me a sincerity that I haven't seen in a long, long time on this beloved video platform. I'm from the generation that heard the song Shakespeares Sister - Stay on MTV. Among many others.
Growing up in Ireland meant growing up with this song (Siobhan the second singer is irish) and your reaction is very reminiscent of mine and many others, i just wanted to hug u when u teared up, your heart is so big and beautiful i know❤God bless you sweetheart Xo
Your reaction was very sweet shows you have a good heart , I would like to recommend " Kate Bush - This Womans Work " as this to is a emotional song , would love to see you react to that one in the near future if possible .
I agree with @cappyGLA, your facial expressions were exactly what this song and video should create in the heart of those who love genuinely. The contrast between the angelic voice of the one who is fighting to save the life of the one she loves and the demon girl who wants to take his soul is outstanding for the time the song was written. The fighting over his body and when she screams when he opens his eyes and looks at the demon always makes my entire body react. I loved hearing this song for the first time when it was released in the 1980's. I fell in love with it instantly. I have always lived with a heart full of love and compassion for everyone on this Earth and I fully understood the words long before I saw the video. I'm now 64 years old and love this song with the same passion and heartfelt love that I did as a much younger man. Your tears show your compassion. Thank you for your reaction my heart feels your love. Cheers from Toowoomba, Australia.
Aw, girl you got the vibe immediately. I inherited a gay bar in the late 80s as a college student. Believe me. I was not first choice. It's just that AIDS moved that fast. We played this daily. I ended up having three daily playings at set times with a lit shrine that people could bring pics or items to. Because I (my nerves) just could not take it randomly played but people needed the catharsis. I am glad people don't quite relate now. But everyone can relate to not wanting a loved one to die.
ive watched dozens of reactions to this song and noticed black women seem to react very differently to it, not amazed like most but a deeper reaction more sadness then amazment
Are you planning to widen your reactions to include rock, I'm asking as there are some truly amazing groups, Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd to name just two
Music is no longer art. Most of Art is no longer art. We as humans can smell the lack of heart and soul at 1000 miles. Even if we don't realise what's missing we sense it's absence. It's been 20 years since we had anything real.
The Angel of Death knows it’s not your time. Lovely song and your reaction was beautiful.
