Shakespeare sister actually started as a solo project for Siobhan. The brought Marcella Detroit on to help with writing and she sang on a few tracks and it just clicked.
Siobhan was founder of Bananarama . Seemingly on this video shoot she was left in her dressing room for ages because of film issues…. So just had a few drinks 🍹 😂. When you see her in video she was actually rather drunk which I suppose aided the mannerisms and looks 😂. Brilliant singer , Marcella Detroit is singer at beginning

The first singer is American, Marcella Detroit (aka Marcy Levy) who sang with Eric Clapton in the 1970s. She did a powerful duet with him "The Core" from his "Slowhand" album.

I never heard this song until Ghost released their version. Beautiful song but I prefer Ghost's take on it, I don't care for the high pitched singing but that's just me.
