I loved how playful Zatanna was during the whole fight. Even when bloodlusted, she prioritizes showmanship above all else.

Season 9 has a new trend with breaking the fourth wall, first Jinx did it with tilting the camera, twice and now Zatanna did it with putting her hand through the screen
Wonder how fucked up the Season finale will get

I think it also they mention that zatanna give in using dark magic due to her promise to her dad thus never being drunk with power and thinking she powerful in a way
Tanjiro and Jonathan Joestar:
-Two kind-hearted individual who specialize in hunting down Undead beings.
-Both want to kill a very bad guy that massacred their respective family
-Both fighter's fighting style is based on breathing
-Both can do water and fire based attacks.
-Both mastered a combat art based on the Sun.
-Both lost a really close friend to an enemy
Wow, they really have more in common than i thought....Anyway, betting on Jonathan.
This episode was a lot of fun. I can’t wait to discuss it tomorrow.
I went with Zatanna because I already knew all those feats before the fight started. Big DC fan boy here. ;3

I think almost everyone was pretty surprised with how this one went. Still, I think it did a pretty nice job showing off both the sheer versatility of their magic as well as the scope of their power. And I'm curious how the next time will go, both in terms of stats, the animation, and how they'll set up a fight between them without completely ignoring their characters.
And I'm completely with you on them spoiling the majority of their fights. It didn't help that last season they went with the most obvious matchups for each teased character, one exception aside. But at least there it made sense for the legacy season, but I think they could afford to mix it up this time. Hell, season 7 teased Beerus, and no one even knew who he'd fight (thank god it wasn't Arceus). Until the mid season finale, some folks didn't even realize it was meant to be Beerus! So yeah, that's the one L season 8 takes to the one before.
Still, glad you had fun, and I'm looking forward to the discussion video.

Awesome reaction Mate. And this was definitely an amazing, Spellbinding Magic Show of a DB. And as for Zatanna's playful cockiness throughout the battle well Zatanna in one of the comics explained that since her civilian job is being one of Las Vegas's hottest acts both literally(yes she is super-hot), and figuratively(seriously she's made a crap-ton of money via her magic shows), she likes to bring that showmanship attitude into fights as a playful cockiness meaning like Dante from the Devil May Cry series, and Nero/Red Saber from the Fate-Verse's Extella Branch Zatanna likes to win a fight and look good while doing it.
To add onto this. Wanda's magic is tied to her emotions. The more she loses control over her emotions, the more unstable her magic becomes. As a performer, Zatanna knows how to read an audience and would probably figure out the best way to fight Wanda is by confusing her. Zatanna's backwards speak not only helps her focus and keep a cool head, but it's also to confuse the opponent. When they hear her say, "ssa ruoy kcik" they will stop for a moment to think, what did she say? By the time they realize she said, "kick your ass," she's already done it.
It's the same tactic Spider-Man uses when he throws insults and jokes at his foes. Not only does it help Spidey cope with any insecurities he has, it also angers his opponent and throws him off his game.
Oh man..and I just picked Tanjro(sorry Jonathan) to win ;-;

i think from the moment her powers were more explained: my hat was in Zatanna's ring from the moment her analysis video came out and thank goodness i wasn't tricked by Wanda's curtain call.

Hey Mate, I know that you’re like a super Rooster Teeth fan and all. But, if you ever want to be of more knowledge of certain characters from DC, then I definitely recommend that you watch some of their shows. The ones that I’d recommend are Justice League, Justice League Unlimited, Young Justice, Smallville, and Batman: The Brave and the Bold. But only if you’re interested. And if you want to know more about Jonathan Joestar and Tanjiro, then I definitely recommend that you check out Jojo and Demon Slayer, during your leisure time. I definitely feel like you’d like those shows. They’re pretty cool.
They did wanda so dirty all she did was scream shes never like that in comics shes badass and confident wheres her probablity manipulation when zatanna threwed those universes?
