Only Jesus Christ has the power to save that's what we must do repent and confess our sins to Jesus Billy Sunday was not saying he could save he just spread the word of God it sounds like you critics are envious of him
The tone and music of the documentary was refreshing to listen because it is old fashion, but very much alive like the Word of God. The WOG is timeless.
I thank God for his gift of billy Sunday to America... Lord, give me the Grace of Billy Sunday of me to reach my community, Nation, Africa and the world Thank you Jesus for your grace in Jesus name amen
Coming from Great Britain I have never heard of the man. Yet this endearing documentary with it's 1950's music, playing softly in the background, brought tears to my eyes. The lesson is to be yourself I feel, and allow God to use your unique ability to get through to people that others could not, if they preach with sterility. God want's our total abandonment, men want to hear God's voice, not man's and his own idea's of preaching. God wants a willing participant, and here I am?
I’m reading a heroes of the faith biography of Billy Sunday. The film clips of hearing him preach in this great documentary, really gives you a glimpse of how powerful a preacher he was , great man of God. May the Spirit of God raise an army of believers with similar passion and surrender to Christ with love to there fellow man in these last days !
Billy Graham was a False Prophet and sad to say is now in Hell! Now I heard that Billy Sunday and Billy Graham were Freemasons which is an Unbiblical Cult that believes Good Works Save a Person from Eternal Damnation!!! That is a LIE from the DEVIL!!! Read (Ephesians 2:8,9) and (Romans 6:11) make sure you use only a “King James Version Holy Bible”. God Bless.
I have heard about a young man who, I believe was 19 years old, came forward after one of Billy Sunday's meeting and gave his life to Jesus Christ. This young man was Billy Graham.
Hard to believe the miserable comments I just read below. When they have brought as many to Christ as this man did, maybe then they might have something to say.
Malachi 2:6 The law of truth was in his mouth, and iniquity was not found in his lips: he walked with me in peace and equity, and did turn many away from iniquity. Romans 6:17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. 1 Thessalonians 1:9 For they themselves shew of us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God; 1 Peter 5:12 By Silvanus, a faithful brother unto you, as I suppose, I have written briefly, exhorting, and testifying that this is the true grace of God wherein ye stand.
Genesis 30:23 And she conceived, and bare a son; and said, God hath taken away my reproach: Isaiah 4:1 And in that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying, We will eat our own bread, and wear our own apparel: only let us be called by thy name, to take away our reproach. John 1:29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.
The message in Acts 2 is to repent (change their minds) about who Jesus Christ was. He wasn’t an out of control rabbi but rather the Son of God, the Savior of the world. Same message Paul preached. Justification by faith alone. Still applies today
Was he an Apostle Paul? No, because he didn’t preach the same message as Paul that is found in Acts 19. People who turn to Roman’s for salvation are backwards and have the cart before the horse. The Church was established in the book of Acts. The epistles were written to established Churches, not people asking how to be saved. It’s really simple. You want to know the plan of salvation, go to where the first message was preached and the first time the question was asked. In Acts 2:37, they said, Men and brethren what shall we do? Verse 38 gives the answer. It’s not rocket science, it’s just willfully ignored. The Bible doesn’t offer multiple plans of salvations, that’s man’s doings. Peter was given the keys, just read what he said on the birthday of the Church! Salvation is simple!! God made it as such! No sinners prayer in the Bible, man made that up….. if anyone can cite the sinners prayer or accepting Christ as a personal savior, in the Scriptures, just post it on here. That would settle any questions.
Lord rebuke you for teaching a false gospel. Take a look carefully at the context of Acts 2:38. You will see, first of all, that the audience is entirely Jewish. As a matter of fact, Peter is addressing “the house of Israel.” In verse 36, he let them know that God made the same Jesus that they crucified both Lord and Christ. After hearing this, they asked Peter “what shall we do?” You might recognize that this is not the same question that the Philippian jailer asked in Acts 16: 30. There, he asked “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” The Jews, in Acts 2, did not ask what they needed to do to be saved! To the contrary, the question in Acts 2:37 referred to the problem the Jews had as a result of the resurrection. In other words, at the crucifixion they hollered for Pilate to crucify Jesus and told him, “His blood be on us, and on our children,” (Matthew 27: 25). After the resurrection, when God had made Jesus both Lord and Christ, these same Jews had a serious problem. The man that they had crucified was alive and was now in a position to judge them for what they had done. They had asked for his blood to be on them!! So, Peter explained to them that they had a way out of the problem. He told them, in Acts 2:38, to “Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.” That’s exactly what they had to do. However, if this were the proper method of salvation for everyone, then we would find water baptism preceding the gift of the Holy Ghost in other places in the Bible. But, such is not the case!
Mark 12:30-31 How would one love the Lord with all their heart without having a relationship with Him? Of course when one gets saved they have a personal relationship with God. Jesus is wonderful💖
Bible says everything ..you can see many like David , Daniel, joseph ,Abraham many ...so please read bible ...Im standing strong day by day seeing life in bible 🙏
I believe, hope that what he means is only Jesus saves. But what an amazing work Billy Sunday did spreading the gospel and allowing people to hear the saving news.
Lord rebuke you for your false gospel. Notice he does not repeat baptism, but believing only. Trust Christ alone. Baptism does not save. "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; *but he that believeth not shall be damned."* - Mark 16:16 KJV

Graham was a false preacher
Although Sunday didn't bash the catholic church (I wish he did), at least he never wanted audience with the pope.
😂
False. Billy Graham was used by God.

You want to know how to be saved?
You go to where someone asks “what must we do to be saved” not just “what must we do”. You are incredibly biased.
Lord be merciful to me a sinner. Lord remember me when you come in your kingdom. 2 examples of sinners prayer in the Bible
absolute nonsense. demonic.
Bible says NOTHING about a personal relationship with God. It says, "Repent and be baptized to wash away sins..." Acts 2:38; 22:16.
Mark 12:30-31 How would one love the Lord with all their heart without having a relationship with Him? Of course when one gets saved they have a personal relationship with God. Jesus is wonderful💖
