Hello. Would you happen to have a full build list of where and what you purchased? I’m also looking into doing this after some more research. Thank you.
Good video, was thinking that it might of been easier if instead of the drafting table it might be easier to get all your measurements first, for the box, buttons, switches, etc. and then using those to design you template in a program like Microsoft paint, then print, cutout what you need from template, then attach to box.
That’s a good idea! The video was very much me thinking out loud and I’m pretty terrible at measuring things and laying them out. I really appreciate the tip!
@@pastorhudson Full disclosure, working on my first one right now. Saw a few RUclips videos about it, including yours, and I was like, "wait, you can just build your own custom game controller with no knowledge of coding?" I'm sure my first one will look rather rough, but it will be nice to build different ones for other sim games as well.
Parking Brake Knob: a.co/d/dBWmaNm Trailer Brake Knob: a.co/d/csYNAsX Pull Switches: a.co/d/jkogBmm I used a dremel tool to cut the brake knobs and flatten the push pull switch and then glued it all with CA
You can't even buy this eta/ats Simulator DIY Button Box in Europe, and would like one but don't understand the rest about making it yourself, soldering and drilling holes, etc., but that's it, if you know someone who does. can bring this Simulator DIY Button Box to Europe for sale, I would like to work together to do this ps a microphone for CB/voice must be on
Nice to see a fellow hudson doing diy lol
It was interesting and helpful to see the decisionmaking around button types and location.
excited to see how it turns out. I am making one also and I am basically up to where you are now I need to work on the wiring this weekend.
I spent a lot of time procrastinating the wiring lol
The audio goes back to normal at 9:58

The audio is messed up. It’s a long video if there is a section you want me to to redo or clarify let me know.
How and where and what did you look up to get the trailer brakes and parking brakes

I love this series hoping you continue it to the end. Do you mind sharing where you got the buttons especially the air and trailer brake knobs thanks!
Added to description!
What was your solution to the brake switches? Attaching them
I used a dremal to cut off the long part and glued them to the push pull buttons caps that came with the switch. They’ve been holding solid.
