As a fellow Bengineer, I would really recommend binning that thrustmaster steering wheel, it simply wont last. Reach out to Fanatec and ask if they can subsidize/sponsor you to do this as their hardware will be far more upto the task.
Yes the motor isn't made to support that amount of weight
He should get the new Moza truck wheel
@@CatSovietski He wants to keep the cab true to its original form, What he needs is a proper Wheelbase! Moza's or Fanatec either one will do with direct drive and a proper gearbox

Come on Tim, Buy Helen a Scania horse box which can be the mobile merch store at events. can do a build series on it and everything. get the back all wired up and plumbed so you can have hot drinks and lighting too in the back.

I think it'd be even better if he gets her a trailer for the Volvo where the entire trailer is a mobile merch store. The amount of merch they can fit back there is uncanny.

As a Euro Truck fanatic, I am so interested in this project and what the total budget will come up to. When it is finished I am sure lots of people will actually pay to drive it

The wrap has to be the same as the R series surly! But Trucker Sim is bloody brilliant! I like the idea of the heater vents blowing air but why over complicate it, can't you just remount the original blower motor? Take on Helen's idea of a trailer but could you mount a box/body on a trailer and put the SIM in front to make it look like the SIM cab is the unit pulling the merch store? Oh and everyone needs a Ben! bengineer! Fabulous
Honestly... Id LOVE to have a go on it when its done.. i have seen several videos on full cab simulators and ever since i have been telling myself "Man id love to have a run in a full cab sim"..

I would consider putting a door in the back of the cab. I have a feeling shutting the cab doors with tvs mounted on them will eventually knacker the electronics. They’re not designed to have shock put through them
If you wanted working vents/cooling in the cab you could adapt PC fans to fit behind the vents and push cool air in.
He is called Bengineer for a reason! I love the practicality on integrating the wheelbase and pedal on the existing parts of the scanny

Dare I ask ------- who is leading who in this project, I get worried expecting Tim to break something that Ben has spent the day putting together. The best part about Tim is his abundant enthusiasm, it is a fantastic combination, especially when Helen makes a simple, and very valid, request.
Pedals easier way take out wires and circuit board and wire them to the cab pedals so when you press it reacts like the pc peddles do
I did not know that about a 4 series and also the horsebox shop would be cool 😊

Helen could get a towable welfare unit to turn into a merch store. Would already be fitted with power, lights, heat and insulated. Would just need fitting out.

My 4 series under bed locker used to lift up like that as a table and slide over towards the passenger seat so you could use it as a lap tray aswell

For painting the truck you should paint it the same colour as your working 4 series so it’s like having an experience driving your 4 series

I actually think the horse box is a really good idea, at truck shows you've got the V8 all branded up, you get the mobile shop next to it, all attracts eyes and attention, makes the brand look more serious.
